Title of review Buggy and needs work
What are the strengths? Night vision & quality of video
What are the weaknesses? I bought this to try out the new .5 lux feature for night vision. Interface is buggy. Camera is buggy. Slow refresh rate. Remote access slow or times out. Not very many options for this camera using IPViewLite. Upon enabling motion triggering to a remote location to run full time, for some reason it periodically loses this function & must be turned back on. The ability to use another program for motion sensoring using a typical weblink seems to be lost because of the 22 second refresh rate of the "current image" - a feature which is only available in the beta version of the software, if you can get it to come up at all. So you're left with using just avi video no motion triggered snap shot ability, video needs you to search for the right codec to play back, & unless you have advanced software, you can't just take a snap shot of the playback to capture just a few frames. At night the camera wigs out and displays rainbow colors instead of pictures if you use high quality. Anything less than high quality and you can't make out the picture.
