| What are the strengths? |
Project Gotham Racing 3 is the flagship racer for the Xbox 360. When you first boot up the game, you can tell the developers at Bizarre Creations have put alot of time and effort in this game. The graphics of this game are absolutely amazing and the detail in the game is just staggering. The real life cities in the game are 99.9% accurate of their real life counterparts. The Las Vegas track is exactly like driving down Las Vegas Blvd, all the way down to Margaritaville and their neon lights. The gameplay is also very fun, but the cream of the crop is the Xbox live aspect of the game. Playing online is very fun as it's challenging and generally improves your skills in the game. Microsoft is starting global tournments where players can compete trips to Italy, etc. |
| What are the weaknesses? |
Even though the graphics are amazing, there are some minor gripes. There are some anti-aliasing issues in the game, which are the jagged edges that you see on the cars and on some of the tracks. Also, this is next-gen, so games should always run at 60fps, instead of 30fps like Project Gotham Racing 3. Lastly, there aren't enough tracks, but that can be blamed on the rushed development in order to get the game out on the Xbox 360 launch. But other then that, everything else is in place! |
| Summary |
Project Gotham 3 is one of the best games out on the Xbox 360, it offers superb gameplay and amazing graphics. Even though there are minor issues here and there, it doesn't really deter from the overall feel of the game. I highly recommend this game to any Xbox 360 owner, and on Xbox live it's just too fun. |
