| Great Headphones! | |||
| Relaxed warm sound | |||
| Sound is perhaps a little too relaxed at times!
Hard-wired cable, can't be upgraded or replaced with a longer one. |

| Noise levels are no worse than either the Sony or AKG's.
The AKG and Sennheisers run from a headphone socket so will always suffer from the faults of the source. Having said that, the AKG's manage to always make the source sound better than it is! The Sony MDRDS3000's are the only ones with a digital imput and consequently are much more detailed. The Sony's however, are, typical Japanese; very bright. What seems impressive at first soon tires you out. The AKGs 787's are the best, but the Sennheisers a good second. On surround sound, the Sennheisers become a little too warm, however, and sound a little treble restricted. Sounding a little muffled. This is odd because often the reverse is true of surround headphones. My one gripe about the Sennheisers is that the cable to connect them to your Tv or Hi-Fi is fixed so can't be replaced with a better one, or longer one. Overall quality is fairly amazing considering the price. They stand up well to the AKG's and Sony's which are three to four times the price. |
