PriceRunner

An overview of the PriceRunner redesign

As you might have noticed PriceRunner has changed quite a lot. Here is a quick overview to the changes. If you have any comments you are of course welcome to drop us a line.

What has changed?

  • Under the Categories menu you will find shortcuts to our most popular categories for quick access when you are deep into the site.
  • The Additional Features menu is used for quick and easy navigation to areas like Buying Guides and Coupons.
  • At the top right of the site you can always find the login button and well as quick access to your page when you are logged in.
  • The search field has been enlarged and put in focus to make it easy to search for the product you’re after.
  • The category list is structured in one single column to make it easy to scan and find the category you are looking for.
  • Much of the homepage space is used for our promotion space. This is where we communicate with you if there are any new categories or hot products out there. Most of the time there are more than one promotion so make sure to click “More tips” each time you come to the site! This area will never contain advertisement.

Why have you done these changes?

The changes on the homepage are a part of a big project where we try to improve the usability and user experience. In usability studies, group studies and comments from our users we have found that there are lots of things we can do to make it easier and more pleasant to use PriceRunner.

Is my favorite feature removed?

No, we haven’t removed anything, just remodeled the page. So it might not be found in exactly the same place as before, but it’s still there. If you’re having problem finding anything please let us help you.

It seems like it’s only the homepage that has changed?

Apart from the main navigation, yes everything on the subpages still looks the same as before. We are working on these pages as well and they will also be improved soon.
