Dicks does not refund any shipping cost coming or going so I ended up paying $17.24 out of pocket for a $49.99 item. I find this unacceptable and will not shop Dick's again. |

| Rating |  1 / 5 | | Comment | Ordered their venture trizone heated fleece as an X-MAS present. The heater remote didn't fully work and the 2 zones on the back of the jacket never heated up. Returned item and paid for shipping costs to send back. Reordered because they don't have an xchange policy and was sent the _SAME EXACT_ jacket I had returned in the first place. Tried to get them to send me a new jacket--before winter was over--while waiting on a return label to mail the old one back and was lied to on the phone saying they were now out of stock and would be on back order (probably until they received the damaged one back from me); however, seconds before the sales lady was ready to sell me one and was 100% sure they were in stock and ready to ship in 1 to 2 business days before I asked to speak with her supervisor. Overall, horrible customer service, horrible products for that matter. Their gym equipment is cheaply made garbage that breaks within a year too. About the only thing I'd buy from the store are dumbells and fishing lures, but I'll never buy anything online from them again. VERY DISSATISFIED!! |

Rep claimed web site photo was "only a sample" and that you don't necessarily get what's pictured. Rep kept insisting that they sent the correct item and that the problem was simply that I was "not pleased with" the item. I pointed out that the brick and mortar (B&M) store had the exact same item at the cheaper price, but the rep stated the online and B&M store are separate entities.
After some polite wrangling, rep acknowledged they might have sent the wrong item. RMA went okay (they e-mailed a prepaid label), except that they didn't refund the original shipping as phone rep promised (since mistake was on their side).
Would not recommend shopping here unless you like taking the chance that you won't get what you expected. Selection is good, but if they cannot deliver what they promise, good selection is useless. In addition, all their prices are pretty much MSRP, and you can definitely find better deals elsewhere. |
