| Rating |  1 / 5 | | Comment | I ordered a single item from PCUniverse. I called to verify the item price and description and that the item shipped was correct and I was assured the item was as described.
When received it was incorrect so I returned the item after receiving an RMA from PCU.
I tracked the package via UPS and called Customer Service at PCU to verify they had received the item. They promised to credit my account within 24 to 48 hours.
After 48 hours, no credit. I called PCU to find out what was wrong and they promised to credit my account within 24 hours.
Again no credit so I called a third time to complain and they said they would credit me that day.
They also accused me of knowing the item I ordered was not correct. Basically accusing me of creating the issue.
Another day passed and still no credit.
After 10 days I began working with the financial institution through which I had made payment to recover the money.
Finally, 13 days after PCUniverse promised I would have the refund in 24 to 48 hours, I have my money back.
I did some research while waiting for the refund. This company has done this very thing on more than one occasion with similar results for customers. |

Ordered a Zyxel router from these guys on the 12th and the package was at my front door first thing in the morning on the 13th.
Their email system is a bit off though. I didn't get a shipping notice until 3 hours after my item had already arrived.
Overall I am very satisfied with their service. |

I E-mailed them on June 4th requesting an update on the shipping and why there was such a delay in getting this merchandise to me. On their website the item was listed as having the entire quantity I ordered in stock and available. Now I am being told that the item is back ordered and they don't have an exact date of when the item/merchandise will arrive. They never once called or E-mailed me with a status and when I asked to have this order cancelled, it took them yet another day to respond to that. The credit card was charged immediately and the refund/credit for the cancellation of my order has not yet been done. There customer service is not good at all, I would not recommend buying from them. |

They shipped it to me AS FAST as a Newegg order I had placed at the same time (almost the next day for UPS ground shipping, wow!). Super low prices for the simple long power cables I ordered. No one else could touch the prices they had on these. Great to help me situation my three PC monitors on a monitor arm without stretching power cables. Nice job, PC Universe, on a super-smooth transaction. |

Was told that only 1 item was in stock with no ETA for when the other 1 would come in. I told merchant to please CANCEL my order. I was told it was done. I even asked for a cancellation number, but was told there was none but not to worry because it was cancelled. A week later the product shipped! When I called merchant, I was told there was no record of a cancelled order! They told us to refuse the delivery and let them know when we did. However, their box came without any clue that it was from PCUniverse so the UPS guy had to leave the box so we could open it to find out. When UPS came back, we gave him the box back to refuse delivery. I informed merchant, as they requested, that box was on its way back. Now they claim they never received the box back and refuse to credit my Mastercard. What a headache -- and ALL THEIR FAULT. Don't use these people. It's too frustrating.

Apparently they have no way to keep track of Google Checkout orders. After I initially posted this review, they tried to email me personally and buy me off with a discounted version of the same item that just happened to be in their eBay store. Lame. UPDATE: turns out it was a completely different item. They don't know the difference between a router and an AP and don't mind wasting your time. |

I called them and was told that my order was cancelled because they didn't have that item in stock. Then I came to this website to check the reputatio of PC Universe. Now I'm not surprised at all. |

| Rating |  1 / 5 | | Comment | I placed an order with them through Amazon. The sale price was very good. I received absolutely nothing in my e-mail aside from two automated Amazon mails. The first was to confirm my order and the next was to tell me my order had been canceled over a week later. There was absolutely no explanation as to why this happened or contact from the seller in any way. If the order had to be canceled, that is fine, but I expect it to be done within a day or two and I expect to see an explanation and apology for the inconvenience.
If you take your purchases seriously, avoid this merchant, because they do not. |

Episode 1: bad story
PCUniverse took my order and then silently canceled it without notifying me. They claimed "it was out of stock when you ordered", but I have proof that they had plenty inventory.
I ordered two webcams from PCUniverse through Amazon.com (PCUniverse is a Featured Merchant on Amazon.com). At the same time, I browsed the inventory directly on PCUniverse.com, where it showed In Stock with 496 pieces. So they definitely have enough to fill my order of 2. The order was estimated to ship in two days. Four days after ordering, as I did not get any email about shipping, I called PCUniverse 800-number. The representative took my order number, checked it up, then told me my order had already been canceled because it was out of stock at the time of order. I immediately pointed out that it was showing 496 pieces when I ordered (I have a print-out), and even at this moment of our conversation, PCUniverse.com still is showing In Stock with 488 pieces. He stuck with his saying "it was out of stock when you ordered" and offered no other solution. While the price when I ordered was $36.xx, they pumped up the price to $46.xx already. I certainly won't buy from them at this price.

Episode 2: good story
Very disappointed by PC Universe, I filled in a review here as "very unsatisfied" - see above. I also filed a complaint on Amazon.com using the fill-in form in "Help" section. Didn't expect too much after that.
Then, Ms. Onieda Rodriguez from PC Universe emailed me, apologized for this matter and offered to credit me with the price difference if I put it a new order through Amazon. So I took her words, put in a new order where the price is $46.xx. PC Universe shipped it out the next day, and Ms. Onieda Rodriguez immediately put the price difference ($46.xx - $36.xx) as a credit back to my credit card. I received the shipment two days later.
The email communication with Ms. Onieda Rodriguez has been pleasant. She's very polite and willing to help me. Because of her, now I have more respect for PC Universe.

Full amount was nonetheless charged to my card. Customer service said it was my fault. |
