Products are always as advertised, usually arrive before the expected date, and the pricing is more than market competitive. In fact they are at this point the only merchant I purchase photography or related equipment from. |

They don't do bait and switch. They won't falsely indicate your item is in stock. They ship promptly (at a fair charge ). They are totally above board. They've got a good reputation, and worked hard to earn it. |

On a previous order I had some items damaged in transit and B&H took care of the whole thing. The sales staff was friendly and helpful and they resolved the issue in just a single call. They shipped me new product and filed the claim with UPS, no hassle to me.
While price and selection is certainly important among the many photography web stores, it is the excellent service that will keep me coming back to B&H.

i tried to call B&H customer service to ask about my order, before i placed it, seeing if i could get a professional opinion about my items i was about to purchase. making sure i had the right equipment, and maybe also comparing prices with other stores. but, the customer service guy didn't understand what i wanted. he acted confused about my request. made me feel like an idiot. he sent me to some other dept. but i got discouraged and hung up. so i just placed my order and didn't have the courage to call again. |

| Rating | 5 / 5 | | Comment | I just purchased a 300mm lens from B&H for delivery to Singapore. The transaction went very well, and took 4 days from order placement to delivery. The lens was packed very securely and arrived in excellent condition.
B&H takes precautions to verify your credit card and personal details. Although this adds about a day to the initial transaction, it protects both the customer and B&H from fraud. There were several emails sent advising the order status, and online tracking of the shipment was easy.
I would not hesitate to buy from this store again.

I rank B&H Photo among the very top of all merchants I have ever dealt with... online or brick and mortar... as to honesty, integrity, customer service... you name it. I don't even bother checking with most of their competitors anymore. I expect my experience with the order placed today to be no different than my history with this merchant. I strongly recommend them, without hestitation, to all my friends and colleagues. They are not always the least expensive... but they are nearly always the best. I also like KEH. |

I chose to place the order anyway. The staff was very helpful during and after the order process (I called back twice with questions). When I placed the order, the gentleman took time to chat about the product - I never felt hurried or harried. Moreover, he didn't try any hardsell (he did mention another warranty) or try to convince me to purchase something extra. May 1st the lens and monopod arrived. May 2nd the camera arrived. The lens was just as described (including the warranty). The monopod was just as described, as well. The camera is waiting for my pick up (I'll write back if that's negative!). The products were properly packed. There was no additional shipping charge for the second package. I paid more to order from this site, but for me, it was worth it. Although I can't comment on B&H's response to order problems, I had a great experience with them and I'd recommend B&H without reservation. |

A month or so later, I noticed they dropped the price. I emailed inquiring about the price drop to see if I could get a refund.
I never heard back BUT noticed a refund appeared on my online credit card statement.
A few weeks later, they sent me a confirmation asking if the problem was resolved.
They never contacted me, which suprised me, but without question refunded the difference. This was very professional and courteous of them.

I ordered a Sony HDR-HC9 with a couple of accessories on Tuesday of this week, my order arrived Thursday in perfect condition. Everything was packed safely and works great! I was a little disappointed with one of the lens I ordered so I called customer service and they got me an RMA number and even apologized for the inconvenience even though it was through no fault of theirs!
I have had nothing but the best experience ordering from B&H and would recommend them highly to anybody looking to purchase video equipment at a great price. I will definitely be ordering from B&H again in the very near future for all of by video needs. |

When I cannot find the camera I want at this store, I am disappointed because I may have to deal with other, sometimes sleazy, camera stores! Their superstore is amazing and I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of equipment through them. They've always had the best prices and good return service. This was my first experience with B and H, and while I'm still awaiting my merchandise, I can say my dealings with them were less than thrilling. Aside from having to wait all weekend to have my order processed due to being closed for "vacation holiday", my order was held up even further due to my shipping address differing from my billing address. For security reasons, I'm having my item shipped to my place of employ, not my residence. I understand the need for security precautions, but the additional delay and having to deal with a hard to understand foreign cust serv rep over it still irked me. I ordered on Friday, and it just shipped today, with the arrival estimate being tomorrow. I've already dealt with a deadbeat bait and switch scam site (not one on my safe list obviously)over this item, so my overall satisfaction is being tempered by that experience. B and H comes highly recommended by a pro photog friend of mine, the final grade remains to be seen. To be continued... |
