| Rating |  1 / 5 | | Comment | Ordered 2 of the same item (Hose Bibs). Received confirmation of order with order # and my credit card was charged that day. A week later, I checked AbsoluteHome.com website and entered order number and zip code. Error message displayed showing that my input was invalid. Entere my email address and zip and got the same error message. Waited 13 days before calling customer service. Cust Rep answered -- checked the order status. Told me that my items weren't being shipped until 7/23 (20 days after the order was placed). I was upset that it had taken this long to find out a status and asked why I couldn't check my order myself via their website. She said she would alert tech support to have my email address added to their system. Funny that they emailed me a confirmation (and charged my credit card), but their system didn't allow me to chk the order status using it! Will NOT buy from this vendor again. Still have yet to receive my items, and they've had my MONEY since 7/3. |

Ordered a Stinger NoSquito Indoor Insect Trap on 6/2/08
I received an order invoice but no tracking. On 6/9 I went to the site and tried looking up the status. There was none, nor was there any info for this order.
Called their customer support, waited 15 min on hold, they then hung up as soon as the call went to an operator.
Nice huh....
I then called sales, he didn't let me say much, then transfered the callback to the same department that hung up on my call before I said one word. I again waited some time, but finally spoke to a human. (They also resisted letting me speak to a supervisor, I got all kinds of excuses, but persisted)
The supervisor (Breann) told me they don't know why I wasn't given any updates, but they tell me the order will ship in 6 weeks. WHAT? I just looked up the item, and it's still showing -IN STOCK- Maybe they mean in stock with the manufacturer, who the hell knows.
My advise is to order from a different vendor, as this vendor is amongst the worst vendors I've ever encountered. If your a glutton for punishment and like no email order updates, being hung up on without having even spoken a word, a website that cannot give you accurate order information. (I only got the truth after waiting a week, then I called them to get the info that this wont be shipped for 5 or 6 weeks)
Again, if you're a glutton for punishment, Then this site is for you.
To the rest of us that like good service and support, avoid this outfit. There are far better vendors that are not ate up like Absolutehome.com
This is partially my fault, I should have cross referenced this abysmal vendor with Resellerratings, Had I done so, I would have noticed their lifetime 3.12 rating.
I ordered this via Shop.com as that's where I found this item for AbsoluteHome in stock, what sold me was the free shipping, Also at Absolutehome's website, even now they show the item as -IN STOCK-
Yet they think I'm willing to wait 6 weeks for the item to be shipped with not so much as a peep from them that they would have me wait a month plus for the item to be shipped.
YEAH RIGHT!
