CommentI am pleased by my experience with Laptops for Less.

I ordered a replacement A9251 battery for my Black & Decker power drill, and three days later it arrived. I received exactly what I ordered and it holds a full charge.

CommentI purchased a replacement battery for my Apple G4 power book 17" screen. Item # M9326G-A. The correct battery arrived. I plugged it into the charger for 24 hours and it does not hold a charge at all. I believe the replacement battery is defective. Please send my a return autorization so I can have you send out another battery.
Thank You,

CommentDo not waste your money with LaptopsForLess!! They would not replace an obviously defective RPTV lamp (it violently shattered inside my TV) about one month after the 90 day warranty expired. I was trying to save a few bucks, and I got scammed instead!! I have learned that the reputable RPTV lamp retailers offer a 6 month or 1 year warranty because this is so common. If you don't get a normal warranty, then you ARE going to end up paying double in the end because these lamps run extremely hot. LaptopsForLess knows this and they're selling to suckers (like me) who don't know any better. Customer service was horrible as well because they took forever and were rude even though I was trying to be polite. They're just looking to milk money from people who are bargain shopping. I hope this review helps other people avoid becoming a victim of this company!

CommentThe item I purchased failed only ten days after the warranty expired. I sent them an email with no response. I then called and they refused any compensation.

CommentAs a first-time buyer, I had a very unsatisfactory experience at Laptops for Less (LFL). Chronology:

1/21 Ordered (or thought I was ordering) extended life (9-cell) battery for my Dell Latitude 620 for $130. The 9-cell battery is very distinctive, as it has extra cells in an attached wrist-rest, and that was clearly pictured on the LFL site. I could also see the "standard" battery for $105, but I wanted the extended life battery.
1/25 received the order, but they shipped the "standard" battery, not the one I wanted. I went back to their site to confirm what I wanted, and when I clicked on the image of the 9-cell battery, it took me to the detail page of the standard battery. Something had clearly changed between the time I placed and received my order.
1/25 I attempted to call LFL, but this was Friday evening and they were closed. Since they have very limited customer service hours and would not be open again until Monday, I decided to contact them using their on-line form. I sent a detailed message on 1/25.
1/31 Six days had passed since I sent my message, with no reply from LFL, so I decided to call. After about a 20 minute wait, I finally spoke to a rep who clearly was new. I explained the situation, told him where he could find the image and description of the larger battery (with a price of $130 indicated) on their site, and showed that now, when you clicked on it, you were directed to the smaller battery at $105 (Again, this did not happen when I ordered the battery, since mine was processed through at $130). I was told they do not carry the larger battery (even though it is clearly pictured on their site). They offered to refund the difference, but this was for a battery I did not want. I countered with what I thought was a reasonable request: let me return the battery with no restocking fee, and also reimburse me for the return shipping, since the error was theirs. Bottom line, they refused to agree to reimburse me for the return shipping, saying that the issue was MY error.

I won't go into the details of the final resolution (it was not satisfactory), but after spend a total of 40 minutes with the rep, I asked to speak to a manager. The rep put me on hold, then came back saying the manager was busy but would call me back in a few minutes. That was 24 hours ago, and still no call.

There were two ways this scenario could unfold:

LFL could simply agree to my reasonable request, spend the $3 - $4 dollars to reimburse me for return shipping, provide an overall positive experience and keep me as potential future customer, OR
LFL could blame me, keep me on hold for 40 minutes, refuse to reimburse me for the nominal return shipping expense, lose me forever as a potential customer, and motivate me to post messages like this on every review site out there.

Unfortunately, LFL chose scenario 2.

Buy elsewhere. The minimal advertised cost savings are just not worth the trouble.

CommentHave purchased several LCD/DLP lamp assemblies from Laptops for Less and have been very pleased with their speedy delivery and the quality of the products. I receive the lamps in a timely fashion which is important when someones big screen is down during football season! I will continue to deal with them in the future if they will continue to take my money....
