| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | I was excited to see Martha Stewart flowers on 1800FLOWERS and ordered a live gardenia tree for a sick friend who lives 1500 miles away in early April 2008. I didn't have a chance to visit her until early June 2008, and then learned that the plant arrived with an infestation of white flies and has only had one flower. My friend (who is still not in the best of health) had to nurse the plant back to health. Like many people, my friend appreciated the gesture and did not want to let me know there had been a problem with the plant, and only told me after I had seen the plant myself and was quite shocked to see its condition. I spent $90 on this item and so contacted 1800FLOWERS and was told that there is a 30 day window for refunds. Their customer service department does not seem to be in the United States, they do not stand by their products and do not seem to care. I would never use 1800FLOWERS again, and I am disappointed that Martha Stewart has her name associated with this company. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | What a mess. I ordered online and got a confermation. I orded on the 9 of May and expected a May 10 or 11th delivery like the order said. Mothers Day came and went with no flowers. I was called on Monday to let me know the flowers would be late as much as Wednsday. Still no Flowers. So I called and it took 3 times to actually get an answer as I was disconnected on hold twice. Only to fianally find out that my mom was out of their delivery area. So I was offered a refund. Now it is May 20 and still no money, so I called and was told that even though the order was cancelled the refund had not been done. It will take 5 busyness days to process so by May 29 I should fianally get my $54.98 back. DO NOT USE 1800FLOWERS they won't delever anything but a costly problem! |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | This was my first and LAST time shopping with 1800 Flowers. The entire order was a nightmare from begining to end...
1) I placed my order 5-3-08 because I knew that I would be out of town for Mother's Day and wanted my mom to have something nice.
2) I ordered a large clear vase with a green bow with an assortment of beautiful, colorful wildflowers AND purchased the "Holiday Shipping Fee" to have them delivered to my mother ON Mother's Day (5-11-08).
3) While I was out of town, I called my mother on 5-10-08, the Saturday BEFORE Mother's Day, and she thanked me for the flowers that she received.
4) I was very upset because I paid the special Holiday fee to have it delivered ON Mother's Day and this completely ruined the surprise.
5) After calling 1-800 Flowers, they gave me some ridiculous refund of 20% of my subtotal and the customer sales representative was VERY rude.
6) Once I arrived back to my mothers house, I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the flowers that she received. They were in a tiny "fish bowl" vase with blue/pink butterflies on it and the flowers looked like weeds that had been picked from the backyard. The bad thing is that they didnt even bother filling up the vase! They were half full and HIDEOUS! Not to mention that they were partially wilted!
7) I called customer service again and they offered me yet another crappy refund. Basically my order came to a total of $45.97 and they only refunded $15.00 back to me. My flowers were delivered on the wrong day, they looked NOTHING like what I ordered, ugly, and in conclusion, this was nothing but a big hassle.
I will NEVER order from 1-800 Flowers and I wish I saw this website prior to placing my order. I wish that I had not settled for their "20% refund" because I deserved every penny back. DO NOT SHOP THERE!!! |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | On Sat May 10 at 2:20 PM PST I placed an order on 1800Flowers.com
I received an order confirmation email that everything was set to delivered.
On Sun May 11 (Mother's Day), no delivery was made.
Certainly I was very disappointed but even more so that they DID NOT call or email me. I called 1800Flowers at 1-800-468-1141 at approximately 6pm PST and reached an automated telephone machine that said due to high volumes they could not take my call goodbye. I also sent an email via their complaint form that to this moment (10am PST) was NOT answered.
I had to manually call on May 12 and complain. They apologized and said they were overloaded. They gave me my money back but didn't offer any other solution. They would not give a free courtesy delivery of flowers or any other compensation.
In summary, the facts are:
1) Order was placed one day in advance on May 10
2) I received an order confirmation, no problems with delivery May 11
3) No email, no phone call was made on May 10 or May 11. If they had made any attempt whatsoever to contact me, I could have made other arrangements. I called my mom at 6pm PST and of course it was too late for me to make any other order.
4) They were too busy to take my phone call or respond to my email on May 11. I could not leave a message.
5) I had to manually call to get a refund.
6) They would not give me a courtesy flower delivery for my trouble.
7) They said plenty of other others could not be delivered and they issued refunds or small discounts.
8) When I asked why they took my money, gave me an order confirmation but did not deliver or attempt to contact me, they had no answer.
9) The CS rep "Diane" told me they had LOTS of non deliveries and didn't work Sundays to notify people of non deliveries on Mother's Day!!!
10) I was transferred to 1-866-257-7779 to complain further but it's just an infinite loop number.
DO NOT ORDER FROM 1800Flowers.com if you have any expectation of your order going through. They will take your money, and give you nothing but empty promises. Furthermore, their customer service will do nothing but return your money.
Take your business elsewhere to begin with. I never had any problems with FTD.com
If you are part of the media PM, I can send you the email confirmation with order number and my phone number for verification of all the above.

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | I could not imagine a company doing business the way 1800 Flowers has been doing it. I am extremely upset and disappointed in the service that I have received and would never order from them again.
I ordered Mother's Day flowers in April to be delivered on May 9, the Friday before Mother's Day. They were to be delivered to my mother's office by 2pm. This didn't happen so I called them to see if it was delivered after so my mom could go pick them up. They said they hadn't been delivered so I had them send them to my mom's house. I got a delivery confirmation on Friday evening saying that they had been delivered to my mom's house. They had not been delivered.
I called customer service on Saturday and they apologized, offered me a 20% credit and said they would deliver them by Mother's Day. This means they would be 2 days late and all they could offer me was 20% credit.
Today is Mother's Day, 8 pm and they have still not been delivered. Customer service today, said they had a signature on the delivery that was not my mom's name and that they were probably delivered to the wrong home. Again they offered me an additional 20% credit but at this point I felt like they should have been free. They said they would redeliver on Monday.
I asked to speak with a supervisor who had more information than any of the previous 3 agents I had spoken with. The supervisor said that the flowers had actually been delivered to the work address after I had called and had the address changed and someone there signed for them. She said she understood that I had been provided the incorrect information the past 3 times that I had called but there was nothing more they could do for me. I asked to cancel the order and have a ful l refund but she said no because they had been delivered to the original address. It didn't matter than 1) my mom never got the flowers, 2) they may or may not still be at her office and 3) I was consistently provided with the wrong information.
They say satisfaction guaranteed but clearly it is not. I cannot believe they would do something like this and not provide the accurate information. If they had just told me on Friday that they couldn't change the address and it would be delivered to the office my mother would have gone back and picked them up. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | Wow - I wished I had found this website before I ordered flowers to send to my mother, who lives 3 states away, on Mother's Day. I payed extra for same day (Saturday, May 10) delivery, and agreed that Sunday May 20 was acceptable. Of course, it is 9:00 PM on Mother's Day, and no flowers. I call, and after waiting about 20 minutes on hold, I get a "customer service" representative. She first implies that no one was home when a delivery was attempted, and asks if i am "sure" they weren't there. (I was on the phone with her moments before calling, so there was no doubt). Finally, she "checked the status." She then tells me that delivery was never attempted, and offers to resend them on Monday, and a 20% discount off of a FUTURE PURHCASE! Laughable, I tell her. She them begrudgingly offers me 20% of this purchase, and a note of apology. As she is entering information, she asks if Tuesday delivery is acceptable. WHAT??? Right now, they have promised delivery tomorrow, and a 20% refund. Of course, after reading the reviews on this site, I doubt that I am going to be happy with what is to follow...
Update: Wednesday May 14. Despite the promises that I described above, no flowers were delivered on Monday after mother's day ... no flowers were delivered Tuesday after mother's day. Today, I called to demand a refund, and they tried to take a phone number to call me back after they "check with the florist to see what had happened." Of course, I had read in other posts here that they do not call back, so I demanded an immediate refund and said if they could not provide a confirmation number for that refund, I would dispute charges with my credit card. At that point, they refunded with no problems.
Advice: If you have been screwed by this company, do not let them drag on with their incompetance - this is a technique they are using to keep people's money. Be forceful with the customer service reps - they will cave if you are strong. Good luck, fellow victims of 1800flowers. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. We had a gift certificate from them that they gave me because they delivered flowers late and dead to my mother in law after her surgery. They gave us the gift certificate to appease us. I tried us use the gift certificate to send flowers for Mother's Day. They could not redeem the gift certificate on the website, so I called. They could not redeem the gift certificate on the phone either. No one could give me a reason why. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was on hold for 20 minutes, and never spoke to one. I told them to forget it and hung up. I then got an email from them with an order confirmation. They charged me full price for the flowers, did not honor my gift certificate, and when I tried to cancel the order, they said it couldn't be canceled. They said a supervisor would call me. None called. I have made at least 7 calls to them and wrote several complaints on the website and no one has called me. I don't know if my mother is getting flowers for mother's day or not. No one will talk to me there. This company is terrible. Their customer service is anything but service. |

But it is not in their policy to send updated order numbers by email. I will review once the order has shipped (God willing).... |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | The summary: 7 phone calls, 1.5 hours on the phone, 1.5 hours waiting for phone calls, to pay $16 out of $55 for flowers delivered 4 days late after a surgery and a religious dinner.
On Wednesday April 15th, I ordered a bouquet of flowers to be delivered to a friend's mother on Saturday, April 19th, the first night of Passover. The recipient was holding a Seder dinner/ceremony to celebrate the holiday before
going into the hospital on Monday for surgery. I informed her daughter that I had sent
the flowers. With shipping and handling, the cost was $55.23.
Since many florist close before 5pm on Saturday in the town where I live, I called the daughter at that time to see if the flowers had arrived. They had not. Slightly alarmed, I called 1-800-flowers. I was told that deliveries could happen until 7pm. Howevewr after some argument, the representative checked the
florist hours and revealed that they had closed at 3pm without delivering my flowers! She said that she would call another florist in Gainesville and get the flowers there by 7pm. She offered to refund 20% of the order, which was the shipping and
handling. She promised to "call every 15 minutes" until the flowers were delivered. I agreed. I informed her to call me if there were any problems and left my cell number.
Late Saturday night after their Seder was over, The daughter told me the flowers did not arrive. I called Sunday morning and was informed that the representative had "made a mistake". Obviously they had not "called every 15 minutes" either. I expressed my anger and disappointment, especially since the flowers had missed their intended purpose - as an arrangment for the Seder dinner. At this time I was guaranteed the flowers would make it by that day. I was also offered a further discount and a coupon,
but only after complaining quite vehemently. I called again (now the fourth phone call) Sunday at 1pm. I was told the flowers were in the truck on the way and would arrive in an hour.
On Monday afternoon @ 1pm, the daughter called to say her mother was in surgery. I asked if she liked the flowers. I was told they HAD NOT ARRIVED. Completely furious, very embarrassed and deeply shamed I called 1800flowers yet again and demanded the flowers be delivered for free on Tuesday (when the recipient returned home). I was told the order had been cancelled and that a manager would call me back in 1.5 hours.
No manager called. I called again. I was told a manager would call in 15 minutes. No call. I called AGAIN. I finally spoke with a manager who told me they had already given me all
the discounts they could give (including a gift certificate, which I made clear I would not use since I did not plan on using their service again) and that they could either cancel the order
or charge me the $16 for the $55 order. I was told that company policy was only to reverse the charges for cancelled orders and funerals. The manager was rude and snide and not very helpful.
In all I called 7 times. I spent over 1.5 hours on the phone, more than 1.5 hours waiting for phone calls that would not come to have flowers delivered 4 days after I requested them, AFTER the dinner and AFTER the surgery. I was lied to by two representatives, one of whom swore to me the flowers would be delivered in an hour and one whom swore they would call the florist every 15 minutes. I do not feel that I should have paid
anything for these flowers. I was shamed in front of a friend and her mother, who was expecting the flowers. I was stressed all weekend and spent time at work dealing with the problem on
Monday. My satisfaction was guaranteed and I was NOT satisfied. Further, it is clear if I hadn't constantly hounded the company the flowers may never have been delivered and my credit card charged the full amount anyway. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | Ordered a funeral arrangement that was to be 36"x36" (cost $80 + 13.00 delivery fee). The arrangement that came was disappointing to say the least. They had used small, unopened flowers and the fronds were dried and split. Embarrassing to have our names on that cheap looking arrangement. It looked pretty sad next to all the beautiful, full arrangements that were there. NEVER USE 1-800-FLOWERS. |

That's all I can say.
This is another vendor I've used, and either I am absurdly lucky, or the reviews are just plain wrong.
Granted, I didn't order on Valentine's Day at the last minute - I ordered after a bad morning fighting with my wife or something trivial.
I ordered the JEWEL OF MY HEART(TM) (#17360)
and Add On: One "I Love You" Mylar Balloon (#2050LV)
They were stunning.
I grew up working in my parents' flower shop, so I know good fresh flowers from stale crappy ones.
I also know that national floral referral services are only as good as the independently owned shop that actually fulfills the order.
I remembered from my own experience in the shop that FTD had poor arrangements that only looked good from one angle. Back then, Teleflora was the way to go.
Why did I go with 1-800-flowers?
Because one woman I work with always gets email from them, she has excellent taste, and I was in a hurry.
These not only looked good upon delivery, they stayed looking good over a week. (She kept them even longer, though after a week I would have tossed them.)
She received the delivery about 90 minutes after I placed the order.
The vase, while I'm sure was inexpensive, did not look like it. Unlike the awful milk glass or green glass, this one is a beautiful purple/lavender shade and would look fine in any surroundings.
My wife works in a tax office, and every day she told me about all the compliments she received.

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | I made the mistake of giving 1-800-Flowers a second chance, after they failed me one previous time. The previous time, the so called "roses" they sent looked like something that were dug out of the trash after the care takers got done cleaning up the headstones at a graveyard. On that order I called to complain, they were nice enough and offered to resend them, which I said ok. BIG Mistake...no better. After a few more calls, and an attempt at a third delivery I got a big 20% of my order refunded to me.
So a year passed, I was out of town on Valentines and decided, hey let me try this again. BIGGER MISTAKE. I ordered two dozen roses in a vase, with a box of chocolates. Well...the chocolats showed up, along with a stuffed animal (bear) but no roses. So I called right away, was on hold for 20 minutes on the 14th, no one ever picked up. I called again on the 15th, twice, same thing.
I finally get in touch with them this morning. And guess what, they offered me 20% of the order amount as refund. But I didn't get what I ordered??? They say, well you weren't suppose to get a stuffed animal (bear), but we sent that instead, so that replaces the value of the vase and some roses, so we can only authorize a 20% refund. His supervisor wouldn't get on the phone, she told him to relay this to me.
I then called their corporate headquaters in Carle Place, Long Island. Was put on hold, for 15 minutes, then disconnected. Never actually getting to talk to someone.
So, I'm on a one man mission to get the word out. If they refuse to give me 100% refund, well I'm going to get my satisfaction and then some by letting as many people as I know about how poor the service and products are at 1800FLOWERS. Do yourself a favor, use your local florist, and support the neighborhood small business.
Thanks
Dennis

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | On Feb 13th, I placed an order for some flowers to be delivered to my wife on the next day. I received the order confirmation and the delivery confirmation stating it will be delivered the next day. Next day comes around, no flowers. So I called the customer service around 6:15PM inquired about the flowers; at the time I was told that their normal delivery hours is 9AM to 7PM and the flowers could be their any moment. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, we waited until 7PM, and still no flowers. I called again the very same night to cancel my order with them, and was told that the cancelation notice has been send and my account will be credited; 2 days later, the charge they made went from "pending" status to posted, so I called again and spoke to another customer rep, this time I was told that the flower was delivered on the 14th at 9:37 AM, but somehow they do not have the information on who signed for it, therefore they will need to find out that information from the florist then decided if they will refund me. When I called back on the 19th, I was told a totally different story. I was told that the original florist that took the order refused to deliver the flower, and they have to send the flowers to another florist to be delivered (no mention of the flowers were delivered on the 14th at all), to this date no flowers have been delivered, instead of refund me the money on an order that was still not delivered they offered me 20% discount. I'm just sick and tired of being lied to over and over again, and I have neither the time nor the patience to deal with such a horrible company.
*****I strongly encourage anyone mistreated by this horrible company to file a complaint with the better business bureau as well, they do not deserve to be in business at all.***** |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | About 10 days before Valentines, I ordered a bouquet of flowers($70) for my girlfriend. They gave me delivery date options. I put that I would prefer Feb. 14, but if you had to make certain it would get there on Feb. 13., that would be an ok option too. 1800 Flowers quickly took the money out of my account that same day.
I checked on delivery options via 1800flowers.com/ordertracking and nothing was ever shown. It always said it is in transit. I checked this on Wednesday February 13 at the end of the work day. Then on the 14th, I checked it multiple times. I wanted to make certain my girlfriend received flowers on Valentine's day otherwise I would hear about it from her. 5pm rolled around and still nothing had been received by her. I finally, after literally attempting to get a hold of a live customer service rep 10 times, spoke to one of their reps. She was 100% no help, in fact she put me on hold for 15 minutes, said she would call me back soon and never did.
So in the end, the flowers were never received by my girlfriend. She was pissy about me not caring enough about her because no flowers were delivered... I looked like an a$$. After 10 - 15 more attempts the day after Valentine's day to get a hold of another CSR, I got a hold of someone who was rude to me... she bluntly said to me "whatta ya wanna do sir?" I said at this point, a full refund would be in order.. it is Feb. 15 and the flowers have still not been delivered. So if you are looking to make yourself angry and also have your girlfriend pissed off at you, go with 1800flowers. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | While this company offers a strong website, competitive pricing, and a wide selection of products, my experience with delivery has been a nightmare. On February 2nd I placed an order for one dozen premium roses to be delivered, of course, on Valentine's Day. Order placement was simple and convenient, with the small exception of the addition of a small surcharge (about $4.00) to guarantee delivery on February 14th. While I was slightly aggravated that I wasn't informed about the charge until the very end of the checkout process, it wasn't entirely unexpected as many flower shops I've used have additional charges for heavy traffic holidays.
Valentine's Day came and I called my fiancee several times throughout the day, each time expecting the flowers would arrive later in the evening. 9pm came and went (the usual latest delivery time for florists), and I received a very unhappy call from my fiancee. She was a little concerned that I'd perhaps forgotten the holiday, or worse, not gotten her a gift. Needless to say, this was a lot of unnecessary stress for what should have been a nice holiday. At this point, I emailed and called 1800Flowers.com's Customer service department several times, frantic to find out where my flowers were. The email received only an automated reply indicating they were "busy due to the holiday", and the phone call actually ended abruptly in a recorded message stating that all agents were busy and to please call back. I hate to be put on hold forever, but to have to redial the number and go through the automated menu again and again was unbearable. Of course, the online order status form, which all other internet companies pride themselves on keeping up to date by the minute, only registered my order as "placed". (Note: As of today, February 19th, my order status remains at "placed") I slept very little that night.
Late the next morning the roses finally were delivered to my fiancee, however absent the usual phone call to schedule delivery. My fiancee was not home at the time, and a dozen roses sat in California weather on her front porch for several hours. Fortunately, they survived. However, the very personal note card I'd added was not with the flowers. Since then, I've sent four emails to 1800Flowers.com, called three times, and never received a reply. I actually received a promotion email today, which angered me so much that I was prompted to write this review.
Needless to say, I will not be using 1800Flowers again, nor would I advise anyone else to risk dealing with their blatant incompetence and disregard for customers. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | The same as many others, I ordered 2 dozen roses for my wife for Valentines and paid the premium for guaranteed delivery on the 14th. The 14th came and went, no roses. The 15th came and went, no roses.
I called the customer service number and after being hung up on by the automated phone system at least 20 times I was put in the call queue.
To my surprise the rep was cordial and not rude. I have to say they can be shrewd a try to double talk you into believing it's your fault or the shipping company's fault. She actually wanted me to contact UPS to find out where the roses were. Last time I looked it was the shippers responsibility to track shipments. When she offered to refund the shipping costs I asked her to prove that the order actually left the facility, prove that it was given to UPS, she could not. I believe UPS tracking more than I believe 1800's word. UPS tracking did not show the order in their system.
I told the CS rep that I did not want a box of dead flowers, if they ever did arrive, and to please issue a full refund. She did along with a confirmation number. That surprised me considering all the other posts I've read.
After this experience of dissapointment and my wife's disappointment....
The only other time I would ever user 1800flowers would be to send a funeral arrangement when this company goes under.
I have to say, my wonderful wife was very understanding and she loved the flowers I ran out and got at the local supermarket. It was the only place open at the time, and I couldn't let the day go by with out giving her flowers.
I may sound calm now and when I called them, but I was hopping mad at the time, as I'm sure everyone else who got disappointed by this company was. Be assured I will never order from them again, and always use a local florist, in person, from now on. |

Ordered some flowers for my girlfriend for Valentine's day. Chose guaranteed delivery on Valentine's day so she would receive them at work since she had to work until 9pm.
2/13/08
Placed many calls attempting to contact customer service to confirm that my order would be delivered on time so I could be sure my girlfriend would be getting them. I was unable to get through to a customer service rep. The call was either disconnected or never answered.
2/14/08
Received a voicemail stating that my order would not be delivered on Valentine's day but perhaps a day or two after. The lady said I should call back to confirm this. I tried to call back all day and was unable to get through again. I sent 2 inquiries using the contact form on 1800flowers.com first asking if there was a place I could go to pick up my flowers or a different bouquet (and if not, cancel my order) since they had seriously messed up my Valentine's day. The second inquiry I sent stated flat out to cancel my order. I received one email from them saying that I will hear back from them shortly.
2/16/08
I attempted to call customer service again to confirm that my order has been canceled. There are still no flowers to be found, my $84 has not been refunded, and I have still been unable to contact them or hear back from them. I sent them another inquiry using their contact form.

Still have not heard anything from 1800flowers. Have not received the flowers (they would be utterly dead by now) or my refund. Filed a dispute with my credit card company.
2/20/08
Received a call in the morning from 1800flowers saying they are charging back the amount to my credit card since the order was never delivered. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | I placed an order on 2/9 for a Valentine's bouquet of flowers. I took a lot of time to find the "right" bouquet for the occaison. The flowers were indeed delivered on 2/14 as promised (I had to pay extra, of course), but when the recipient sent me a picture of what they received, I was horrified!!! My magnificant bouquet that I had paid $175 for was nothing more than a dozen slightly wilty red roses and 4 stargazer lilies stuck amongst an unattractive bush of greens. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT as I could have achieved the same end result from my local grocery store for about $30! What was delivered was and completely unaccpetable and way off the mark from the bouquet advertised from the 1800flowers.com website. Reading some of the other reviews here, sadly, it seems to be more the norm than the exception with this company.
They have promised me a 2nd bouquet will be delivered, and that it will be "right" this time. We'll see whether they step up to the plate and make things right, or whether they embarrass me a second time. I hope not, because 2 strikes and you're out with me as a customer.
Ball is in their court.
2/21 UPDATE -- The new bouquet was redelivered today as promised. It is MUCH nicer than the sparse arrangement of dying flowers that was sent on Valentine's Day.
While I'm happy with the bouquet, two things stick out here:
- The bouquet still looks NOTHING like the arrangement advertised on the 1800flowers website. Maybe the picture they're using to sell flowers is just over-zealous, and not even feasible to sell to customers?? That certainly looks to be the case here.
- I thought I had this all sorted out with 1800flowers, but the recipient tells me they were harrassed by the florist, who told them that they were expecting an EXCHANGE of the original flower arrangment before they gave them the new arrangement of flowers. This is absolutely a "WTF?" scenario!
The 1800flowers CSR said NOTHING about an "exchange" when I spoke with them. And why the hell is the florist harrassing my valentine when it was their screw up to begin with?
All in all, this is just a BAD experience, and I'm personally done with using 1-800-Flowers in the future. They and their rude florists can go to hell as far as I'm concerned.

He emailed me from his current location to let me know that there would be a "valentines day surprise" coming on Thursday. I was so excited! I couldn't wait for Thursday to come! Well, I got home Thursday night and NOTHING. I WAS DEVASTATED, talk about pouring salt on an open wound. As if I wasn't feeling bad enough that my husband has been gone a month with many more to go! Today I received a voicemail saying they "tried" to deliver the flowers yesterday but they had "car trouble". That is the lamest excuse I've ever heard! Now my arrangement is going to be delivered TOMORROW. Gee, thanks for my flowers that are already two days old. I'll make sure he never buys from 1800 flowers again. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | I have read many comments about this company and I am in the same boat. I ordered some flowers for my wife for V-DAY also, and like every one else they arrived a day late. This is not the first time that this has happened. I ordered flowers for my mother about 3 years ago and she never got them and I did not get a refund until about 2 months after. And it was gift card. Who the hell wants a gift card. It would be one thing if I was able to spend V-DAY with my wife, and did'nt get the flowers on time. But I'm stuck here in IRAQ and this was the only way that I could say, "I LOVE YOU". It's sad the way that this company treats soldiers. We are the reason why you are safe and are able to continue with this "BS". I suggest that this company gets their act together, or people my be willing to take these customer comments to the next level!!! |

I am totally in the doghouse with my wife as there was nothing for her Valentine's Day. The flowers showed up 2-15-08. They are frozen and in extremely bad shape. They do not look attractive. I am refusing to pay for an order that is a day late and in extremely poor condition. Three web site inquiries were sent to 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, with no response from them outside of an automated "thanks for your e-mail". I tried to call them about my concerns. Their phone system refused to let me talk to a human about my issues. It hung up on me. This is the poorest example of customer service I have experienced in a long time. I will tell all of my friends to avoid using 1-800-FLOWERS.COM lest they be treated poorly like I was. I am going on line to let everyone know how poor this company serviced my business and then didn't handle my issue. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | I placed an order on 2/13/08 for Valentines flowers for my wife. The arrangement was lovely online. The order was delivered the same afternoon as promised. Unfortunately, it was less than half the size of what I ordered per the photograph and specifications given. I called and they promised to speak to the florist and have a new arrangement delivered and call me back with the details. I never heard back from them.
A new arrangement finally came late the next day. It was far worse than the first. It had less flowers and they were half dead. The colors were "autumn" colors and certainly not appropriate for Valentine's. The delivery person was so embarrassed that she left both with my wife.
I tried to call and speak with the corporate office but they REFUSE to speak with customers. My calls were routed to their call center. Eventually, after many calls, I was promised a full refund but my wife's holiday was ruined.
I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER order from this company again. |

It's now the end of the day Feb 15th still no flowers. I called and got the usual rude, apathetic phone rep. I also talked to a supervisor Kimberly ID 10709. I was just going to deal with them delivering a day late, but they were so rude and insulting I ended up just cancelling the order. For missing V day, they offered to deliver "as soon as possible" (3 days late? 4 days?) and give me a 20% discount. You've got to be kidding me. This is insulting. The only reason I ordered from them was to get flowers delivered on V day as they had promised when I shelled out the $85 to get them there on V Day!! They wouldn't refund any shipping or offer any remotely fair resolution. I am furious. WILL NEVER USE THUIS COMPANY AGAIN. I WILL TELL EVERYONE WHAT A CRAP COMPANY THEY ARE. They ruined my V Day gift for my mother. Because of them, she didn't get anything and I had to explain this BS! SHAME ON YOU!!!! |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | Unbelievable! I ordered a dozen roses and a dozen milar balloons and paid extra to have them guaranteed to be delivered on Valentines Day. By 3pm nothing had arrived so, like most other people on this site, I began calling their "customer service" number. Not being given a chance to wait on hold to speak to someone, the call was ended. By 11am this morning 2/15, the flowers finally arrived. What a disappointment to say the least. The roses looked as though they had literaly been just stuffed into the vase at the last minute, possibly while the truck was parked in my driveway. The flowers looked as though they were many days old and are already losing their petals (4 hours after delivery). I have seen better quality and presentation at a road side vendor selling flowers out of the back of the truck. I have no intention of paying one red cent. My credit card has been notified to deny the charge....be forwarned! Stay away from this company, use something local if at all possible! |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | This company completely failed to deliver on its commitment to provide flowers to my girl for Valentines Day. The delivery date was chosen as Feb 13 to avoid the delays and problems of V day, but they still failed to deliver. I was not contacted to indicate that they were going to change my order. I was not contacted to indicate that they had missed the date. By Feb 15 no flowers had been delivered. Despite multiple emails (they were not accepting calls to the customer help center) there were no responses.
When I finally got through, they offer to provide a $10 discount on the next order - why would I bother as it will never get delivered either.
Creating issues in my realationship due to their failure to execute on a contract appears to be of no issue or concern to them. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | What a rediculous service these bone-heads provide. I ordered WELL in advance, on February 1st!!! Ordered a dozen roses for delivery to my wife. I even signed up for the "Deliver on the 13th or 14th" so I was sure it would get there on time. Not so. On the 15th, I called in and asked where the delivery was. They said it was delivered, just to a different building since shipping wasn't done at the building I had listed in the delivery address. What a bunch of bull. The customer service rep bold-faced LIED to me on the phone. They NEVER delivered it, just lied. They are refunding 100% of my money and even including a 20% off future purchase gift certificate, but I can ASSURE you, I will NEVER use 1-800-Flower.com again. What a nice way for them to completly RUIN Valentine's Day for me and my wife. Just sad... |

Thank you 1800 flowers for making my first valentine a horrible one!! My boyfriend placed this order on 02/09/08, and someone please tell me why was my order late? With specific instructions that they had to delivered before 3pm.Oh, they arrived alright, I had already left for the day!! And not only that, they had some elseÂs name on the card, who the hell was sandy? IÂm sure that was not the name on his credit card he used when they placed the order? In addition, the order was incomplete, where were my chocolates? Oh, thatÂs right, they forgot to include them! ItÂs the principle that he depended on this highly prestigious company to make this a lasting impression of our relationship, but that didnÂt exists just like the flowers and full refunds hundreds of customers were promised and never received from your company, because of the incompetent people you call employees!! Your policy specifically states that if we, the customer is not satisfied our company will issue a full refund, or any other compensation to assure a satisfied customer. Apparently, this is just BSÂ
1800 flowers u and your company can shove your 20% refund where the sun doesnÂt shine!!!! IÂll be sure to let everyone know how I feel about you company!!

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | This service is absolutely horrendous. I ordered on 2/11 for delivery on 2/14. The morning of valentine's day I was unable to get a hold of customer service. Order status was never updated.
I called about 50 times during the day from 9-7 (their supposed delivery hours) and i get either this message "due to heavy call volume, our customer service rep cannot answer your call" then click hang up or if lucky enough to hear a ring it then goes into two busy signals and hangs up.
When I FINALLY got a hold of someone, they apologized and said "Sir for every 1000 deliveries that are not made, 250000 are". OMFG, are you serious? What king of business do you guys run?
NEVER NEVER order from 1800 flowers unless you want your valentine's day ruined. Be smart and avoid the frustration. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | On February 13th, I ordered a 149.99 bouquet of flowers for my wife to be delivered next day on Valentines Day, because I am out of town on business and we couldn't celebrate the day together. She waited all day until 6pm, when she had to finally leave to attend a dinner appointment.
They conveniently would not answer their customer services phones with some lame disclaimer that due to the high volume of calls, their customer service reps could not answer the phones and to please visit the website where you could track your order online. I was unable to track my order because there was no tracking number, as promised. I have been reading other complaints online and wish there was a way to shut this obviously BAD BUSINESS company down.
As of noontime, today, (EST), 800-FLOWERS.com had made NO EFFORT to contact me or to have the flowers delivered. The real thing that chaps my hide is all the rigamarole I'm now going to have to go through in order to get a refund! What a disappointment and what a drain on my wallet! I would highly recommend finding another floral service!
Fortunately, to 1-800-FLOWERS.com's credit, my wife and I, on a conference call, were finally able to circumvent their ridiculous customer service phone system and finally make contact with a live person. However, we were on hold for over half an hour before anyone answered and we had to navigate the phone system as if we were calling to place a new order.
The customer service rep agreed to credit my account and give a $30 gift credit towards my next purchase.
I doubt, though, I'll ever use them again. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | I ordered TWELVE MYLAR balloons from 1800flowers.com, and there were ONLY THREE Mylar balloons that the recipient actually got. The rest were regular balloons that are already deflated less than 24 hours later! Needless to say I am very upset about paying for something that I did not receive. It was not just for Valentine's Day, but for my one year anniversary. I would suggest not using a place called Bloomies Flower Studio either. They delivered for 1800flowers.com and when I called to tell them my situation, they were extremely rude and didn't even listen to what happened; she cut me off in mid-sentence saying she'd call me back, which she never did. 1800flowers.com has finally responded to my emails I sent on 2/15 and today is 2/25. The email still did not have an option to rectify the situation or a solution to the problem however. So, basically to top it off, the customer service is also inexcusable. |

The money was taken from my account on the 13th, and no flowers were delivered to my wife on the 14th. Several calls to the Customer Service department have been unanswered. In fact, a recording says that no one is available to help me at this time due to high call volume. Then the call is disconnected.
The invoice I have from this company indicates that my satisfaction is guaranteed. Unless 1-800-flowers.com has the ability to retroactively deliver the flowers for which I paid a 25% premium to have delivered on Valentine's Day, they have failed on their commitment. |

| Rating | 1 / 5 | | Comment | The same thing happened to me today as a number of people has written below -- NO FLOWERS ARRIVED today on Valentine's Day!! It's true that unlike these people, I waited until the very last minute (2/13) to order. But the site does say "order before 2pm that day for same day delivery". Hey, if they already know that at the time of my order, my local florist would not have been able to deliver the flowers on Feb 14 as I have requested, they should NOT have allowed me to proceed with the order. And today, when I tried first to call them to track the order, and then later to cancel the order, I could not even get through to the customer reps! Rather than putting me on hold, they just said "all the reps are busy now, and we can't take your call", and hung up on me. I then tried to e-mail them to cancel the order, explaining that since it will already be passed Valentine's day when the flowers do arrive. They sent me back a reply saying that I am not allowed to make changes or to cancel the order because of the high traffic during the holiday. So they just took my money, and they are going to send my wife the flowers (assuming they are still sending them, who knows?) couple of days later? when they are meaningless??
I should have stuck with iflorist.com as I did last year, when I had a same-day delivery order with them. They were much more responsive. As soon as they got my e-mail, they called up the local florist and confirm with me that the flowers will be delivered on the same day. I thought a big place like 1800flowers would be even better, but man was I wrong. |

I had ordered on 2/2/2008 so this wasn't some last minute deal by any means. This is the SECOND time on a Valentine's Day that they have screwed up. Well this dumb rock of a man won't make that same mistake again I can assure you I have learned my lesson. The only reason I ordered from these icompetents is because my wife left one of their catalogs for me as a hint. Something had caught her eye. I cringed when I saw it was a 1-800 Flowers catalog, but I thought hey I'd give them another shot. Second chances, that's the American Way right? As ole George W once said...or tried to say anyway:
"Fool me once
Shame on you
Fool me twice
Shame on me."
I won't make this mistake again I can assure you. Not only does my wife think I'm a pathetic loser, but when they are delivered tomorrow or whenever I will look even more like a chump. How embarrassing. Gee thanks for nothing 1-800 Flowers. |

That email makes it sound like my order would go through fine, but it never arrived. I received no further emails regarding delivery status.
This is ridiculous considering I paid for guaranteed delivery.I searched Google and there are pages and pages of complaints of people in the same position.
DO NOT USE 1800Flowers!
**UPDATE 2/15/08**
Thursday night, 2/14, I receive a shipping confirmation email at 8:15pm.
On Friday morning, 2/15, my girlfriend receives the flowers. I receive a delivery confirmation email at 11:30am.
I used to work in customer service so I understand that the company's problems are not their fault. When I call customer service, i'm as polite as possible.
I ask the rep for a full refund because I paid for a GUARANTEED vday delivery. She says the best she can do is 20% refund and $20 gift certificate. I tell her 20% isn't enough to even cover shipping and the Guarantee delivery charge. The gift certification is useless because I won't be using 1800Flowers again. She puts me on hold, comes back to the phone, and says that's all she can do. I ask politely if I can speak to her manager. She puts me on hold. 10 minutes into my hold time, they hang up on me.
I call back and wait 15 minutes for an service rep. The new rep is very pleasant. I explain the situation. She says she can only offer me the same deal of 20%. I say fine because i can't deal with this shit anymore.
Please do not use this company. They have absolutely no integrity. |
