CommentHorrible Service. They canceled the order because they were supposedly out of stock, but then magically the item appeared back on the site at a higher price.

CommentMeritline cannot be trusted to fulfil products at their advertised prices. They canceled an order on me for lack of stock, but then immediately raised the price and had stock, and it seems that I'm not the only one who had this experience.

CommentThey failed to comply with my order of two pen drives, they just deliver one and make an effort to make me forget all about it, to place a claim they asked for a lot of information, even information not available. I then told them that I was buying the missing product from somebody else because I couldn't wait any more (more than two months from purchase date) and to please reverse the charge on my credit card they claim, with just a shipping notification, to have send the missing pen drive again.
They have also cancel an order after more than two weeks and after they have already charge me for it. I´m still to see if they have return the money to my credit card.

CommentI bought a bunch of Wii Nunchuks from Meritline in a sale the advertised on the front page of their site. They advertised a 50% off sale. Apparently they like to have lots of 50%, 70% and 80% off sales. The just mark up the prices everytime to come out the same. Someone there must have not been using their abacus good enough. They actually the nunchuks to 50% for real. They canceled my orders and everyone elses orders saying they where out of stock. The very next day they where in stock again with 50 some dollar prices on a item that has a manufacturer retail price for $19.99. It has now taken over 3 days and I still have one of the charges stuck on my account. Going to call the credit card fraud department tomorrow if it isn't gone.

CommentMeritline offered a 50% off Wii accessories promotion. Most of the prices were increased so the only nice deal was the Wii Nunchuk.

3 days later my money was refunded and an e-mail indicated the item was not available.

CommentYesterday I ordered a Nintendo Wii nunchuck for $27.99 - 50% coupon plus free shipping for a grand total of $13.99. I got a confirmation email and everything. Early this morning, I got the following email:

Dear XXXXX XXXXXXXXX,
First of all, we would like to thank you for your purchase. But we are
sorry to inform you that item 247-047 in your order is currently out of
stock due to unexpected large demand and we had to cancel your order. The
credit has been issue back to your account . We apologize for the
inconvenience and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

If you have any questions, please contact us at orderstatus@meritline.com.
Thank you.

Best Regards,

OK, while it makes me angry, I can understand that maybe they have a crappy inventory system that lets them oversell items they really don't have. Just out of curiosity, I went back to the site to see if they had an estimated back-in-stock date, and it looks like the really aren't out of stock after all since I can order one, but they have jacked up the price from yesterday's $27.99 to $51.99 ( http://www.meritline.com/nunchuk-controller-wii-047.html ) Though they thoughtfully advertise a 50% coupon there which brings the price down to a "reasonable" price of $25.99!

This is outrageous. Not only did they outright lie to me and tell me to cancel and order for an item was out of stock due to "unexpected large demand" but I can go place another order for the exact same product for a jacked up price that is 260% of Nintendo's MSRP

CommentVery shady sales practice. Canceled an order saying item is OOS than put same item back on web site, in stock at 2x the price. Will not deal wiith them again. AND they had confirmed the order and taken my payment thru PayPal prior to canceling.

CommentMeritLine is a very deceptive store where they will advertise false sales and gather information from you. I would be more incline to say criminal since now they have my personal and credit card information. Like many other buyers, I was duped into buying a Wii Nunchuk for $28, even though it is $8 over the MSRP. They were having a sale with 50% off coupon for Wii stuff. So, $13.50 for a Wii Nunchuk was still a good deal. Ordered 1, then later in the day receive a cancellation email saying they were out of stock so unable to fill order. Went and check their website on 2 different days and can still see the Nunchuk on sale and in stock, but the worst is they raise the price to $52! Even with 50%, that still comes out to $26. I know that they think it was a pricing error but they should have said so rather than lying. What's worst is they are scamming the buyers with price of $28 and now $52 for a Wii Nunchuk. The company is well known for jacking up the prices before having a sale. Thus, this will give unaware buyers the mindset they are getting a good sale, but really just paying regular price. Worst, like this Wii fiasco, much more. I had shop here a few times but only bought blank DVDs. After this fiasco, will never trust them again, buyers beware.

CommentFraud plain and simple. Charged my CC and then canceled my order stating it was out of stock. The same day as the cancellation its website showing the item as instock but at triple the price. Stay away from this rip off company.

CommentThis company has absolutely HORRIBLE business practices. They double their prices then advertise "half off sales." I purchased an item from them, it was canceled with the reason given that it was out of stock. That was fine, and I didn't think much of it. Today I was looking for a replacement product for the one they canceled, and I noticed that Meritline has the item back in stock today, only for DOUBLE what it was yesterday. They essentially told me that they canceled my order because they wanted to sell it at a higher price. The price I paid was a reasonable price and not a "price mistake." I will NEVER do business with this company again.

CommentI can't say if the company is any good. The checkout process is atrocious. I decided to use google checkout, and it required me to fill in all the shipping and email information first. As the final step in the process (hence I have an invoice, but no payment) it sent me off to google, supposedly. But instead it sent me to some 404 page somewhere. If a company can't get a shopping cart working properly, it's got problems.
