CommentI received excellent service from Christopher at extension 5391 while assisting me with an online promotion offer; he has spent much time and patience with me to ensure my order was successfully processed and corrected. I would rate Chris' performance an 11 out of 10 for going above and beyond!

CommentAside from the last order in which TD would not let me purchase an Assurz guarantee after my initial transaction, which would ultimately cost me about a $100 if things should go wrong, TD is the most informative, comprehensive and balls out online computer resource for the above average, techno-babbling, bombastic fool that actually crunches the numbers when trying to eke out every ghz, mhz, gb and voltage performance possibilities of their beloved rig. CommentMy thanks to Agents like Roymand Urdaneta for making the effort to ease a difficult situation. My purchase of an ACER monitor was quite an ordeal! He was good to his word on a 'best effort' attempt to resolve the problems in getting this order completed expediantly. Employees like this are in my opinion a big part of the reason customers continue to place their orders even after a major unpleasant experience. Quite a valuable asset! Thanks again!

CommentThis store has a lot of great deals on technology items. The only thing I would have liked to see for this order was more details of what came in the box for the camera. In addition to the picture of what is in the box, a detailed list would be helpful. I could not tell if there was a battery charger in the box although there was something that looked like it could be. I also could not find a charger to purchase separately for the camera.

CommentTiger Direct is the best place for Soldiers overseas to do buisness for electronics.

I ordered a tablet PC with replacement protection to use during a deployment while in Afghanistan, I recieved the item very quickly, by deployment standards. The computer stopped working properly after it was damaged during the deployment. When I returned from the deployment I contacted the insurance company about the problem (WaCA)was polite and speedy and my case was handed to Jerry, ext.5853, a Senior Account Manager, who wrote me an email to tell me the gift certificates from WaCA had arrived. Living in Germany I am not able to call 1-800 numbers on the cheap so we did all transactions over e-mail though the suggestion of Jerry. I will be receiving my replacement very soon. Soldiers overseas, this is the company to use! They respect what we do and treat us accordingly. Don't forget to buy protection it saved me nearly $2000.00!

Comment I ordered a computer kit from Tigerdirect.com. And had to return the motherboard. I had no problem. "DAN @ extension 5916", As alway's sent me a new board and RMA. CommentNew to 64 bit Vista, building new system and was looking to optomize it from the start. Tiger's sales staff is knowledgeable, fast, efficient and most of all helped me to verify compatability with Vista 64 (not always the easiest thing to do). So take advantage of the sales staff there, I'm glad I did... Asus P5N-T, Intel Core 2 Quad 266, OCZ 8Gig, Diamond Radeon HD 3870, 2 Hitachi 1 TB drives. Thank you Tiger Direct!

CommentI called Tiger Direct for help purchasing more Ram. Since I got my PC from Tiger Direct they should know what Ram it needs, right? The Rep tells me what I need, and then it goes downhill quick.

Do I have an optimiser he asks. No I say. Then he says how great it works and how my old PC needs it, and it is my lucky day! For only $30 more with free shipping they'll include it with my order. No thanks I say, to which he tells me to go to the page to read about it. I do it, and again say no thanks. Does this guy take a hint? NOPE - the hard sell continues. After my fourth or fifth "no thanks" the rep says all cocky to me "Your loss. What type of anti-virus are you using?" Now he wants to sell me an anti-virus package, how kind of him!

The point is I am not a dope, I know what my PC needs and I just wanted to 100% sure that I got compatible ram for my PC.

I wish I told the rep where to shove his additional software. Pathetic!

EDIT - Tiger Direct called me to apologize and let me know that the sales rep was reprimanded for his conduct. They refunded my shipping, which was nice. This has nothing to do with my update. I am more impressed that they called and apologized for my experience. Plus my Ram arrived quickly and worked great. I'll give them one more chance, as they really do have great products and pricing.

CommentMy shopping experience was excellent. I was able to quickly locate what I was looking for using the search function. Then I had lots of information regarding the mini-laptop computer I eventually purchased: specifications, access to the owners manual, access to info on modifying the operating system. There was even a customer review giving more details of how pleased they were with their purchase of the product. Further, I had options for an extended service plan and an extended 90 days money back guarantee for a reasonable additional charge. These extras were sure nice!

CommentTiger Direct goes above the call of duty to make shopping with them a breeze. I called at midnight on a Thursday night about a mistake on the part of Gateway, and the rep put everything into motion to fix Gateways problem, even though they didn't have to do anything. There is a reason I have made 7 purchases with TigerDirect, and thier low prices isn't it. Best costumer service that I've ever dealt with online.

CommentOn April 24, 2008, I received an e-mail from the New Comp USA, promoting a 22" LCD monitor and other items. I purchased several products. I had it shipped to a residence in Chicago. It arrived on April 25. I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW GREAT THIS TRANSACTION WENT!!! Thank you Tiger Direct and Comp USA for surpassing my expectations. You've raised the bar to a new level. I hope you can keep it up there for my next order. AMAZING SELLER!

CommentHORRIBLE experience!!

I ordered a stacker 830 chasis w/1000W power supply.

Guesswhat the risers/mounting screws do NOT fit in the motherboard. Ok i thought NO problem i'll just call tigerdirect for an exhange.

To my shock they tell me they can exchange it for me but i have to pay shipping.. $32.

Why should i have to pay shipping when the product YOU sent me was defective? and there is no chance of refund.

When the 'new' stacker 830 arrived IT HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!! ARGH!!! i have never been so frustrated in my life.

I called the manufacturer (cooler master) first and they said this is a known issue as many defective parts were made and shipped from Taiwan. Tigerdirect knows about this issue because after checking the reviews on their site other people were having the same problem.

Yet they did not bother to check the inventory. The stacker 830 is still one of their featured items!

Amazing!!! Apparently they want to make money hoping some who will purchase this product wont return it, this is better than dumping bad inventory i suppose.

Anyways $350+$32shipping X 2 = 764 out of with 64 down the drain as i paid for shipping for nothing.

No thanks tigerdirect, this is how you treat a valued customer?!?!

I have bought $4000+ worth of goods from you over 3 years and you dont even take my RMA seriously to check the exchange you send me atleast does not have EXACTLY the same issue?

I was polite at all times to them on technical support yet they refused my request the first time to check i dont get another defective product.

I cant believe its still a featured item. Tigerdirect atleast you can give me my $64 back.
Its not even pocket change to you but i have been saving up for months to build my dream PC and every dollar counts.

You know what makes a good seller? one who treats their customers personally with respect.

CommentI purchased an extended warranty on the Acer Ferrari 5000 from Tiger Direct (other option was to purchase direct from Acer). I did this because I've been a big fan of Tiger Direct.
I had an issue that the 3rd party "Cyber Test" did not resolve. I attempted to call Cyber Test, I gave up after 45 minutes.
I called Tiger Direct and spoke with Dwayne (x5412).
To make a very long story short, even though I am completely dissatisfied with Tiger Direct and their 3rd party warranty company Cyber Test, Dwayne is the ONLY person I spoke with that knew the definition of CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Although I will never purchase an extended warranty from Tiger Direct again (assuming I buy from them again), I highly recommend others at Tiger Direct take notes on how Dwayne x5412 handles customers.

CommentMy order was processed quickly and was recieved on-time.
The system did, however, fluke and double-charge me which caused some pretty nasty issues with my bank.
Mike (ext 5392) was extremely helpful and knowledgable regarding how to handle and fix the problem. Within about 10 minutes the issue was resolved.
My past customer service experiences with TigerDirect have been overwhelmingly negative (over a year ago). Mike has won me back as a future customer after previously moving my business exclusively to NewEgg.

Comment I made a purchase of a laptop thru Tiger and Steven Wilds 800-955-1888, ext. 5833. He also got me to open a credit account so I could pay my six months same as cash. He did and large credit amount and he shifted into another gear. What a salesman. All kidding aside, he was great and very helpful and still today he still helps me.

CommentI ordered 3 Lenovo notebook computers (2 for my grandsons and one for myself) from TigerDirect. Chris M.,the sales rep. that helped me with my order, impressed me so much with his knowledge of the products and the courteous manner in which he responded to my many questions regarding my purchase- I just had to let TigerDirect know they should be proud to have an employee of this caliber working for them.I have been satisfied with the many purchases I have made from Tiger and Chris just gives meanother reason to continue being a TigerDirect customer.

CommentI purchased a CyberTronPC basic desktop computer ($800) with a Foxconn 945GZ7MC-RS2H motherboard described on the website as having an 1066MHz frontside bus. After the computer arrived, I quickly discovered it ran very slowly. While researching the cause for that, I discovered from the Foxconn website the motherboard was actually rated at only 800MHz, meaning the Core 2 Duo E6300 processor ran considerably slower than it's rated speed. To make matters worse, Foxconn had locked out any overclocking claiming this particular motherboard could not handle the stress.

TigerDirect would not allow me to return the item, in spite of the false advertising, claiming the item was "exclusively supported by the manufacturer's warranty." I then contacted CyberTronPC, who also falsely claimed this motherboard had a 1066MHz frontside bus on their website. They eventually admitted that wasn't true and agreed to ship a replacement motherboard rated at 1066MHz. Of course, that motherboard never arrived. I eventually gave up and built a computer from scratch using all new parts (different motherboard, processor, etc).

Many months later, that Foxconn motherboard still sits in the upstairs closet and TigerDirect still lists that computer on it's website as having a 1066MHz frontside bus - in spite of being repeatedly told otherwise, complete with a link to the manufacturer's website.

CommentThis was a great experience ordering the parts I needed for this application. Steve Wilds at ext. 5833 was very helpful. I was not sure about the parts included from the web site and he looked up to see what I was getting and what I needed to get separately. Over all he was very helpful and made the sale for me on this Saturday evening.

CommentI have been using Tiger Direct for over a year now, and even when I have had difficulties, I have always came away satisfied. My very first order arrived damaged in shipment, and the amount plus shipping was promptly refunded, as I had an impatient client and could not await a replacement part. Everything else has been packaged wonderfully, and I am very pleased with both the items and the service received. I will be definitely using Tiger Direct in the future!

CommentWell, this is the first review I have ever written for any store. Tiger direct never ceases to impress me with both their service and their knowledgeable personnel. My latest order was placed with Rafael and I have to say he is a star among stars. I have been making purchases from Tiger almost from the day they opened their doors nearly 20 years ago and they keep me coming back. For consistant service, high quality products and an excellent staff I would rate them 20 stars on a scale of 1 to 10.

CommentHad a great experience dealing with TigerDirect. John Ault is everything you'd want in a customer service rep. "Customer Service" seems to be an oxymoron these days, so it was very refreshing to deal with someone who was not only very helpful, but extremely pleasant. I placed an order late Monday night and received it by 5:00pm on Wednesday, much sooner than the 3-5 day standard shipping. I will definitely use TigerDirect again!

CommentAwesome customer service I purchased a Vantec Nextstar gx usb enclosure 3.5 with hub/fan from TigerDirect.com on 4-8-08 received it on 4-14-08. Worked great till 4-16-08 when the hard drive was not viewable(any hard drive I put in it) all hard drives worked in computer. Called Vantec for support they were great could not diagnose the problem and had me call TigerDirect.com for a return, Called TigerDirect.com and got a RA number straight away Ordered from Marcos Martinez for the sale(don't remember extension) He was very nice and spoke to Derek ext 5840 for return Derek was quick and very polite I was very surprised with TigerDirect.com return polices usually trying to return a item to online stores is hard. Very satisfied and WILL use TigerDirect.com again.

placed my order at the end of february and paid through ebillme. after two weeks, i went on the website and it said that my order still hadn't shipped out. i called tiger direct and they said that they hadn't received payment from ebillme yet even though it was a direct bank transfer that i had made the day that i placed the order. when i called ebillme, they said that it was a system problem with tiger direct that they had been trying to fix for a couple of days. they said that even though tiger direct had gotten the money, they couldn't tell who the money was from.
so i waited another week and checked the website again. on that day, it said that my order had been cancelled. i called tiger direct once again and asked them 1) why they had cancelled my order and 2) why they did not even bother to call or email me to let me know. they told me that they no longer had my item in stock and that they hadn't gotten around to informing me yet. good customer service would have been to let me know before i have to find out by myself and then offering a comparable item. i ordered a hard drive for my laptop, something that i needed relatively soon......not some computer accessory that i could wait two months for.
when i asked for my money back so that i could go elsewhere to buy my hard drive, they informed me that it would take 3 weeks to issue a refund because i had paid through ebillme. to this day, i STILL have not received my refund.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

CommentTiger Direct and another store has the best price for this particular refurbished desktop. I pick tiger direct because more people sems to write comments about them - more good than bad.The only negative aspects with this vendor so far seem to be the high shipping price. I will rather wait longer for a lower shipping price.

CommentI bought a Toshiba laptop about 4 years ago and have outgrown it. It was a factory refurbished and it has and still works well. This time I decided to buy a new Toshiba Satellite pro. CommentI had a problem with the wrong part ordered for my computer (my fault) and talked with Felix (ID #5830). He got me a return authorization number to return the part and then helped me place an order the correct part.

He was great at customer service, politeness and in his technical expertise in helping me order the correct part for my computer.
In my opinion, TigerDirect is lucky to have Felix as part of their team. He made my exchange process effortless.

I've sent off the return to TigerDirect and look forward to my new hard drive in the next couple of days.

As for TigerDirect as a company ---- I've been ordering from TD for years and have never experienced anything less than A+ customer satisfaction and quality of merchandise. I continue to shop with them time and again, and I know I've sent some business their way with "word of mouth". I've even gotten our computer department to order some things from TD and I've not heard one bad thing about the process or the merchandise.

Way to go TigerDirect and thank you Felix - you were a pleasure to deal with.

CommentI have had problems with Tiger Direct's billing practices in the past but recently gave them another chance. I am a system builder a buy from many different companies. TD is the worst. I bought $1500.00 worth of components around September, only to find out when I got home that $300.00 worth of mail in rebates had already expired. The cashier (purchased from TD outlet store Naperville Il.) argued that this was somehow my fault. From what I've learned they advertise expired rebates all the time as well as misprints in their flyers and mailers. I had already opened the components and could not return them for cash back. That was in September of 2007. Last week I made two orders and they overcharged me twice. Once for $1.50 the other was for an unacceptable $650.00. I don't know why I thought thins had changed but they obviously didn't. Don't buy from them unless you are prepared to be disappointed. It may not happen on this order or even the next but eventually they'll get you. On the bright side Arturo Correa the TD Senior Sales Representative was great after the first guy was quite rude. The money was back in my account the next day. Thanks Arturo. I'm done with Tiger Direct for good. I don't know how they stay in business with the attitude of trying to cheat customers.

CommentThis company should be put out of business. Their sales and customer service are nothing short of horrific. I bought a computer kit as a holiday gift and by the time it was given and assembled 30 days had passed so they forced me to deal with the individual manufacturers whose customer service was equally inept.

I returned an item per the TigerDirect customer service. They said I would get a refund and be reimbursed for shipping. Niether one has happened. In fact when I called them on it they told me I had to contact the manufacturer. I told them no because my dealings were with TigerDirect not the manufacturer. The CSR said the manager told him that I had to call the manufacturer and that was my only choice.

It's time companies like this were put out of business with their shoddy practices.

CommentDavid Block one of your customer service employees was awesome. This was the first time that I had purchased a tower and computer from TigerDirect and when I recieved my monitor, UPS had dammaged it. I called right away and spoke to David and he had handled everything for me. He was very plesant on the phone and took the information from me and it was all done! Now my new monitor is alreday on it's way and UPS has to pay for the shipping and handling. It is nice to know that you can purchase a new computer since I am a student and have a customer service representive handle your problem with ease. I thought it would of been a real hassle and it was a nice experience not only getting the nice tower and monitor but that someone who was efficent and ready to answer all my questions I knew that I would be coming back or recommending my friends to purchase thier computers from TigerDIrect and a great price. CommentI ordered a Logitech Z5500 Digital 5.1 Spk system from TigerDirect. The system was defective since I could not get the sound from any of the speakers. I called TigerDirect and told them I want to return the system. The sales rep informed me that I will have to ship it back via ground shipping and they will re-imburse me for the shipping charges along with the product cost if they are satisfied that it is a defective piece. I called again and met another sales rep William extn: 5860. He was really a gem of a person. He understood my problem apologised for the inconvenience caused and sent me a UPS return label which I used to ship back the product. I also got my money back. Thanks again William for helping me out.

CommentNick Rueda was so very helpful to me this evening, Saturday April 5th. I am trying to find the correct video cards for my SLI rig. The KFA2 cards I have both threw their fans and crumbled. So hen I bought 2 of the xfx cards from Tiger and my MSI mainboard hated them. Everything was locking up. I caalled MSI ad they verified of an incompatability with that company. I received an RMA # 6118475 for them and sent them back to Naperville.( tracking # of 1Z4E153F0324931817) Then I called and got Nick. I explained what I wanted and what had happened. First, he garaunteed me a no restock fee for the xfx cards (provided they were in good order and original packing, which they are) I gave him the tracking # and he promised to personally follow up on it and to see that I received my proper credit to my Credit card.
We then talked about my rig and exactly what I was after, he reccomended me the EVGA 8800 cards. They were more than I wanted to spend but Nick convinced me, he uses them and they were awesome. So, I took his word, since he took mine about the XFX RMA situation. I am sure I will be pleased with them.
Nick did a fantastic job of communicating, he listened to me and my desires and then made reccomendations. I did not feel like I was at a used car lot, when often I have with Tiger salespeople. Most want to sell sell sell and if you are asking questions or just inquiring, they quickly get rid of you. Tonight this did not happen with Nick, he made sure ALL of my issues were addressed (the prior RMA, the original KFA2 cards, etc.) I know he took the time to see who he was talkig with and that we buy a lot of merchandise, almost exclusively from Tiger, becuase he commented on what a good customer I was and he was happy to take the extra time with me. As a result, he ended up selling me Video cards that were a lot more than I inteneded to spend and then compted my shipping because I had the hassle with the XFX cards.
Don't Lose this guy, promote him!!
