CommentI tried to place an order on their website which did not go through but the request for payment went through to paypal. I called them and they assured me that they could place the order over the phone and I would not have two pending payments to them. I did exactly what I was told and had two pending payments in paypal to them. After many frustrating phone calls to paypal and tigerdirect I finally figured out that someone from tigerdirect had to get in touch with paypal to cancel one of the pending payments. I was told repeatedly by tigerdirect that someone was going to take care of this and call me back. I NEVER had any return communication from tigerdirect on this matter. After finally recieving the item I ordered it does not work. I will not go through tigerdirect and am dealing with the manufacturer directly. Tigerdirect would have me pay shipping to return the item to them and have to wait for a replacement or repair. The manufacturer is sending me a new one and returning the broke one at their cost.

CommentI canceled my very first and last order with Tiger Direct because of poor customer service. I wanted to change an item on my order with an item that cost exactly the same price so my final price would not have changed.

I was told I'd have to send the item back, incurring additional shipping charges, this was not acceptable to me. I had hoped to care of it BEFORE everything shipped. My order had not been processed yet either. I was told nothing could be done. So for the want of changing an item they lost the whole $859.20 order.

One other thing that really bothered me was the second person I spoke to on the telephone spoke with an accent and too rapidly to understand well. I had to ask him to repeat himself many times.

I believe there are many other vendors out there that will sell to me an give better service.

CommentI placed an order with "Tino", x 5861, during this holiday weekend and Tino was kind enough to help me through the order in order for "no delays" come Tuesday - their first day of shipping "post holiday weekend". I'm grateful for him taking the extra step to help me out and going above and beyond his call of duty.

I mentioned that it would be great if he won't mind revisiting my order to be certain that it will all go through properly because apparently, the Invoice email doesn't get generated for a couple of hours and he said: "yes he would check later".

I expect, hopefully, no issues with the shipment of this order and anticipate receiving this during the coming week.

Thanks, Tino, for your kind assistance during this weekend!

CommentWhat a JOKE! I purchased a laptop from Tiger Direct. I recieved it 2 days later. I pulled it out of the box and turned it on. It loaded all of the software. I went to load my personal software and the CD-Rom would not open. I sent it back (Thanks Xavier!) and recieved a different laptop. I recieved it today. (Thanks Dennis!) However when I started the replacement computer I got an error message about No Operating System. Within 5 minutes of opening the box I was logged back in on the live chat with Xavier. He is tried to get the software sent from Dell, but that did not work out so he notified his manager and the software manager. I have not heard ANYTHING from either of them. I can promise you this... I will NEVER EVER buy anything from Tiger Direct again! The only high point in this NIGHTMARE purchase has been working with 2 of the best customer service reps. Xavier and Dennis both need a good pat on the back and a big 'Atta Boy! Sadly because I was sent 2 (!!!!!!!) bad computers it will take a LOT to get me to buy something from Tiger Direct again! This is unexcusable! When someone buys an item they expect it would work. I asked them to just ship me the software that was in the first laptop and that would make me happy but according to a VERY RUDE CS Rep, that is not an option. I even asked them to overnight me a copy of Windows XP Pro. They sale them so why couldn't they?? But was also told that would not happen.. I forgot the lady's name that so rudely told me that. I just wish that Tiger Direct would take resposiblity for sales bad products!

CommentOrdered 2 GPS Units with 2 day delivery. They emailed me four days later to say they were on hold... No sympathy, and they actually claimed to have sent the emails the next day. I verified that that was a lie. If you actually need the product, I would NEVER order from them.

CommentArthur at ext. 5850 was a truly wonderful sales representative! He clearly communicated the steps that needed to be taken (on both the consumer and company ends) to achieve resolution for the issue, and was friendly and funny while doing so. Arthur was effective and seemed genuine - a rarity in dealing with CS reps! TigerDirect should commend Arthur for representing their company in such a positive way!

CommentI made an inquiry of Tiger Direct by phone and spoke from New Orleans to their customer service representative (Milton) whom I believe was located in Miami. Milton was very helpfull in providing information that I know most companies would not provide, and he was patient in spending time on my call, even though no sale was pending. The service was exemplary and geared toward the consumer. This plesant experience was the complete opposite of my horrible experience with ShopNBC, who precipitated my call due to Tiger Direct. Since Tiger direct is an electronics vendor for ShopNBC, I strongly recommend not buying electronics from ShopNBC, but shop from the source - Tiger Direct. Jerry S., New Orleans

CommentI purchased a SONY 1.44MB USB external Floppy Drive to replace another brand with which I was totally unhappy. I wrote a product review expressing my displeasure with my initial purchase. CommentRecently put together a system with an Intel DX38BT motherboard and e8500 processor. With the same order I purchased memory which was not in spec with the motherboards 1.5v standard. I got the dreaded three beep code upon power up. Called TigerDirect about 5 minutes before they closed for the day and ordered a pair of 1.5v sticks. I was amazed to see UPS pull up at 9:30 in the morning with my order the very next day. Thank you very much Jonathan Brooks x5871 for the excelent suport you provided. Through you I have gained much confidence in TigerDirect online.

CommentI wanted to write this review much earlier but due to some health problems I could not. Which is why I'd like to relay to you that even after this lapse of time i was so impressed with Abraham@ext5384 at Tiger Direct handeling of my situation that it was on my mind since then.This fellow renewed my confidence in Tiger Direct. After an ordering mix up, Abraham listened to my concerns...yes actually listened!!!, focused his energies and worked to resolve the problems as if they were now his problems. So, now I know that Not only does Tiger have and endless array of products and deals, the tech back up to go with it but in case something goes awry with the order, the CUSTOMER SERVICE to back it up. Thank you Abraham.

CommentYour representative MIKE who is at extension 5392 was the person who handled a problem I had with an Acer computer I purchased. The computer was referbished and had some problems. Acer customer service was impossible to deal with so Mike tried to help me. He called Acer and had a three way call going with me and tried his best to have Acer help me with the problem and we still had no resolution. Mike was so very helpfull and helped me to return the computer to Tiger direct and even paid for the shipping. He also got me a refund of the extended waranty I purchased. In addition he got me a credit as soon as I shipped the computer back. Then I wanted another item and he got it for me and even paid the shipping for me. This is what I call true customer service. Tiger direct you should be proud of this young man. Tiger Direct you are the best and you are my only company I buy my electronics from. Again thanks for all you are doing for your customers.

CommentI worked with Jose, X5907, and he was absolutely wonderful in getting me the right TV and options plus no BS... only what I needed! I have used one of these TVs, the Vizio VU42LFHD, before and they are FANTASTIC and extremely clear and defined in their image. Plus, it's an LCD... no burn-in worries and lower energy consumption. It's for me and Jose guided me right to it! =D

CommentI've placed a lot of order's with TG over the past few years from both business and personal accounts. It has a very rough experience with them in the last 6 months. Some issues have been: sending me the wrong product(x4+ - separate occasions), incorrectly labeled advertising, mis-handled returns by them resulting in me paying late fees, faulty products, and overall just a poor experience. I will never order from them again. TG say goodbye to your $10,000+ account.

CommentNelson was very helpful. I had placed a $900+ order (my first order with them) and found a $25 item backordered. He spent a lot of time trying to find something comparable and to get a more expensive item price matched. Eventually we found something that would work and he got it shipped to me for free for my inconvenience! It is rare to find a company that will work that hard to help the customer save a just a few bucks. I'm very impressed and satisfied, and they will continue to get future business and recommendations from me.

CommentI bought a Jabra BT8010 Bluetooth Convertible Headset from Tiger Direct. This was my fist purchase from them. When I received my order I noticed that one of the two piece stereo headset was missing. I called Tiger Direct customer service and after a short wait I was able to talk with Jerry at extension 5854. Jerry understood my problem, checked with a product supervisor and gave me clear instructions as to how to return the headset for replacement/credit. Jerry assured me that a complete replacement headset would be sent to me today and credit would be given upon return of the original headset. Jerry was professional, courteous and I told him that it is customer service representatives like him that would cause me to buy from Tiger Direct again and again. Not to mention the very good prices they have, the selection of merchandise and the quick and timely delivery of the products. I dont know what to say...the only thing I can say is " YOU'RE THE BEST " Please continue the excellent work that you do and Im sure we will all prosper. I wish all the Internet Stores are like you. CommentI ordered two items through the phone because that was the only way I could redeem a credit that I had with them (I don't know why I could not redeem it online). The person on the phone placed my order and soon after I received confirmation. Yesterday I received one item but not the second. I found out through live chat, that the item was out of stock but I had been charged for it anyways. The person had to play detective and track down the item and found out (an hour later) that it had been shipped on the 9th and would arrive on the 14th; poor communication between themselves. The confirmation I received through email and over the phone was inaccurate and it take my personal time to find that out. Be aware. I will probably buy again from them, but I will be worried when I do.

The shipments arrive within a reasonable amount of time and in the occasion that I had to make a return I had no problems dealing with customer service.

CommentI had received "Excellance in Customer Service" after recently speaking with Carlos Elosua, Ext. 5825. When I had found that I had a defective Molex plug with my previous purchase of a "Sabrent USB 2.0 to IDE/SATA Cable for 2.5-Inch/ 3.5-Inch/ 5.25-Inch Drive with power adapter." Carlos was very helpful, and immediately with his supervisor's approval had a new unit on it's way to me. Way to Go Carlos !! and Tiger Direct for taking care of their customer's. Wish that there were more merchants out there like Tiger Direct.. Thanks again !! Keith M.

CommentI have poor feelings towards TigerDirect at this point. I ordered 3 items, 1 keyboard and 2 Samsung monitors. The keyboard shipped soon after the order was placed; however, the 2 monitors did not ship out until 7 days later. This was after I had placed 4 phone calls, one online "Order Concern" ticket, and numerous emails between the customer support staff. Luckily, 7 days later I was finally able reach a knowledgeable and helpful gentleman by the name of William at extension 5860. He actually tracked the order down through a supervisor all the way to the warehouse and then was able to get the 2 monitors shipped out overnight via UPS. Thanks William!!! You certainly made my day. Knowing that at least one person working at TigerDirect is willing to assist a customer like William did, as opposed to the others, I will consider purchasing from TigerDirect again. This leaves much concern though. Be aware.

CommentI hae had the chance to buy a few things from Tiger Direct over the last few months. The last thing was a new hard drive and operating system. Steven Bowden ext.5841 was very helpful and knowledgeable. He went out of the way to help me and took care of my order with great professionalism. Steven is one of the best customer service reps that I have come into contact with. Even though I had problems installing XP, he gladly sent me Vista to fix my problem. The orders are always shipped right away and are delievered quickly. That is the way shipping should be. Practically as quick as going to a local store. Agian thanks to Steven for the help.

CommentAside from the last order in which TD would not let me purchase an Assurz guarantee after my initial transaction, which would ultimately cost me about a $100 if things should go wrong, TD is the most informative, comprehensive and balls out online computer resource for the above average, techno-babbling, bombastic fool that actually crunches the numbers when trying to eke out every ghz, mhz, gb and voltage performance possibilities of their beloved rig. CommentMy thanks to Agents like Roymand Urdaneta for making the effort to ease a difficult situation. My purchase of an ACER monitor was quite an ordeal! He was good to his word on a 'best effort' attempt to resolve the problems in getting this order completed expediantly. Employees like this are in my opinion a big part of the reason customers continue to place their orders even after a major unpleasant experience. Quite a valuable asset! Thanks again!

CommentThis store has a lot of great deals on technology items. The only thing I would have liked to see for this order was more details of what came in the box for the camera. In addition to the picture of what is in the box, a detailed list would be helpful. I could not tell if there was a battery charger in the box although there was something that looked like it could be. I also could not find a charger to purchase separately for the camera.

CommentTiger Direct is the best place for Soldiers overseas to do buisness for electronics.

I ordered a tablet PC with replacement protection to use during a deployment while in Afghanistan, I recieved the item very quickly, by deployment standards. The computer stopped working properly after it was damaged during the deployment. When I returned from the deployment I contacted the insurance company about the problem (WaCA)was polite and speedy and my case was handed to Jerry, ext.5853, a Senior Account Manager, who wrote me an email to tell me the gift certificates from WaCA had arrived. Living in Germany I am not able to call 1-800 numbers on the cheap so we did all transactions over e-mail though the suggestion of Jerry. I will be receiving my replacement very soon. Soldiers overseas, this is the company to use! They respect what we do and treat us accordingly. Don't forget to buy protection it saved me nearly $2000.00!

Comment I ordered a computer kit from Tigerdirect.com. And had to return the motherboard. I had no problem. "DAN @ extension 5916", As alway's sent me a new board and RMA. CommentNew to 64 bit Vista, building new system and was looking to optomize it from the start. Tiger's sales staff is knowledgeable, fast, efficient and most of all helped me to verify compatability with Vista 64 (not always the easiest thing to do). So take advantage of the sales staff there, I'm glad I did... Asus P5N-T, Intel Core 2 Quad 266, OCZ 8Gig, Diamond Radeon HD 3870, 2 Hitachi 1 TB drives. Thank you Tiger Direct!

CommentI called Tiger Direct for help purchasing more Ram. Since I got my PC from Tiger Direct they should know what Ram it needs, right? The Rep tells me what I need, and then it goes downhill quick.

Do I have an optimiser he asks. No I say. Then he says how great it works and how my old PC needs it, and it is my lucky day! For only $30 more with free shipping they'll include it with my order. No thanks I say, to which he tells me to go to the page to read about it. I do it, and again say no thanks. Does this guy take a hint? NOPE - the hard sell continues. After my fourth or fifth "no thanks" the rep says all cocky to me "Your loss. What type of anti-virus are you using?" Now he wants to sell me an anti-virus package, how kind of him!

The point is I am not a dope, I know what my PC needs and I just wanted to 100% sure that I got compatible ram for my PC.

I wish I told the rep where to shove his additional software. Pathetic!

EDIT - Tiger Direct called me to apologize and let me know that the sales rep was reprimanded for his conduct. They refunded my shipping, which was nice. This has nothing to do with my update. I am more impressed that they called and apologized for my experience. Plus my Ram arrived quickly and worked great. I'll give them one more chance, as they really do have great products and pricing.

CommentMy shopping experience was excellent. I was able to quickly locate what I was looking for using the search function. Then I had lots of information regarding the mini-laptop computer I eventually purchased: specifications, access to the owners manual, access to info on modifying the operating system. There was even a customer review giving more details of how pleased they were with their purchase of the product. Further, I had options for an extended service plan and an extended 90 days money back guarantee for a reasonable additional charge. These extras were sure nice!
