Gateway from Tiger on 12/3/2007 and had video problems by the time I determined it was not a driver problem, or monitor problem it was just over 30 days old, and Tiger sent me on to Gateway who had me return the computer for repair, it came back but continued to have the same problem. by the time I was able to contact gateway for more help it was ending it's 90 day warranty. so I was sent on to an extended warranty company, who immediately said they would send me a "Gift card" in the amount of my purchase good only at tiger. My invoice for the extended warranty said "1 Year Replacement after Mfg. Warranty Ends". They also expected me to box the computer and pay the freight to return it to them, and then they will issue the card. Tiger agreed to provide a pre-paid label to return the unit. I loose the initial freight, the price of the extended warranty and will be provided a gift card, I loose almost a hundred dollars, I've done business with tiger for many years and this is the worst service I have ever had. BEWARE THEIR EXTENDED WARRANTIES, GATEWAY REFURBS, AND GATEWAY SERVICE. |

Xavier resolved the problem, recommended a replacement product to get my PC up as quickly as possible. Ammended my order, credited the difference, and upgraded my shipping, and refunded the shipping cost already paid. YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS SERVICE! After I returned a product I called Tiger Direct and a customer rep. said that he didn't even see on the computer that they received it and he can not help me and this was after 5 days and USPS tracking said that Tiger Direct already received it. Well I was so furious. then after calling about 4 more times I got one of the best customer rep. I have ever spoken to in my life, Brain. I told him what happened and he solved the problem. He handled the situation like a pro and I was angry but after speaking with Brain I was smiling. He toke the time to look for the returned item and gave saw to it that I received my money. I don't ever give reviews on people because I say I am going to do it but I am always busy. I made time to write this review because this rep. Brain ID number 5811 deserves a recommendation. |

| Rating |  4 / 5 | | Comment | I got a phenomenal deal on an XFX GeForce 8800 GT XXX, Ultra X2 750w power supply, and warrenty from CompUSA.com. I noticed that my power supply was backordered, and hadn't shipped by the time I got my video card. So I called them on the 27th to ask about it. (0 minutes wait time)
The first guy I talked with said that they were getting an order in the next day (Friday) and that it would be shipped out Monday (the 31st), and he upgraded my shipping from 7 business days to 2 business days for free for my troubles.
Monday rolls around, and I'm still backordered. So I've had my card sitting around for 4 days now, unsuable because I don't have a power supply for it. So, I call and am on hold for about 10 minutes, and then I get through to a customer service rep. He informs me that there are 28 people on the backorder list, one of whom is me. He says that this coming Friday (the 4th) they will be getting a shipment of 10, and they will be sent out on Monday (the 7th)...but that I am not one of them. So I'll have to wait about 3 more weeks just for it to be shipped out.
He offers to transfer me to a sales rep so that I can change out my power supply unit and not have to wait so long. So then I get put on hold for another 10 minutes.
So then a sales guy answers, takes my info, and disconnects. So now I have to call back and wait another 10 minutes to talk with a new customer service rep. After some talking and working through some options, the guy totally made my month.
His name is Ben (5826). He was genuinely sympathetic for me and my situation and was totally willing to work with me. He didn't want to put me on hold for more time than I had been already, but I told him to go ahead and do so (so he could call his super) so long as he would call me back if we got disconnected. After about 1 or 1.5 minutes, he came back on the line and had worked a miracle: He got me an upgraded power supply of the same wattage for the same price....a $50 dollar deal. Ben felt for me and my situation and was totally willing to work with me on fixing it. After being pretty frustrated, I must say that he made my month. I got his direct line and when I build my own computer in the near future, he will be the guy I go to.
This was my first experience working with CompUSA, and it was kind of a harry one. But it's good to know that they have employees willing to bend backwards and work with you to make things right. Ben took a bad situation and made it an extremely positive one. Because of him, I will definately be back to CompUSA.com, and he will be the one I go through.

On 3/5/08 I called to check on my order only to be told by Keno Caldwell that there was no record of my having made a payment. I told him I had received a confirmation on 2/26/08 stating that my payment was received by eBillme on 2/25/08. He asked that I email him with a copy of the receipt, which I did. I did not hear back from him and called again on 3/8/08. I spoke with Estelle who told me that Accounts Receivable was working on it and I should hear something on Monday 3/10/08. I did hear something on Monday, an email that my order was canceled. I called again on 3/10/08 and this time spoke with Irving Rodriguez. I gave him my story and he had me email him the receipt. This time I stayed on the phone with him to confirm receipt. He said he would forward it to the appropriate department and I should receive an email in about 2 hours. I received no email so I called him the next day, 3/11/08. After reminding who I was, I was told that the order could not be reinstated but would have to be rewritten. He had however found my money, $420.11. He placed the new order and had it delivered FedEx or UPS Second Day to make up for their error. Let me tell you that was not enough. I will pursue future purchases with TigerDirect very carefully. I even sent an email to the head honcho at TigerDirect but got no response. Thankfully my $50.00 rebate from XFX is still good and eBillme is going to honor their $25 rebate.

We had recently moved and Tiger direct refused to ship my large order ($2200 worth) unless I could provide them with proof of address for instance: Drivers License or photo ID with New Address. Ummm Hello. We moved the Friday (03/21/2008) The State will not just give out a Photo ID. TD also refused to ship order to Old Address. I had arranged for my Old Landlord to get it for us. This is after spending near $4000 with TD at the old address.
Order W2718098 was shipped, 4 items, with 4 seperate tracking numbers. 2 Items arrived and where delivered, the other Two were called back to TD. Yet, TD still has MY MONEY!!!

Some times itÂs hard to trust the person on the other end of the line to get things right, this makes it a pain to order computer parts, but this time around no such problem existed. Called Tiger spoke to a very nice fellow by the name of Jose Casa-Sanchez account manger he handled the problem and instructed me what to do by e-mail returning unit today 03/28/08 so far so good I will give update when new unit arrives so far so good!! 04-07-2008 Well here is the update from my problem Jose Casa-Sanchez was true to his word new unit arrived after defective unit was confirmed shipped back,new unit arrived two days after confirmation Bravo Tiger Direct!!! I must mention that this unit is for my Mother Inlaw!!! She was very happy with the unit the expert way our problem was handled(she is very picky) and again Jose made me look good on my choice to use Tiger Direct. Thank you Jose you are a stellar example of how a buisness should act in the way of customer service . In both instances their prices were competitive, their sales staff helpful and their shipping was very fast and inexpensive. This most recent order had a mis-labeled hard drive. I had ordered 2 high speed drives to go with 2 others I had previously ordered. One of the drives had the SKU and UPC of the high speed drive but was a lower speed. I am building a RAID and all 4 drives should be the same. So the wrong part arrives and I can't build my system. It was important to me that it be completed this week. There are the parts of 3 computers spread over two rooms and I had set aside the time this week to build the system. I called Tiger Direct and reached customer service. A young man named Abraham @ EXT #5384 answered. I told him my problem. He said, "I will fix everything." A few minutes later he had arranged to overnight ship the correct part and to provide shipping for returning the part. He was extremely courteous and helpful. It was one of the best customer service encounters I have ever experienced. If you need to contact Tige Direct for service ask for Abraham @ EXT #5384. An excellent job! If only other companies could do their job so well. |

On 3/11 I got a call from the shipment company (Yellow Truck) to be at home on 3/12 to receive the shipment. I stayed home all day but the shipment did not arrive. I called Yellow Truck and was told that they could not deliver the shipment on time and promised me to be home between 9:00 to 1:00 PM on 3/14 to receive the confirmed delivery of the shipment.
Again the shipment did not arrive and when I called them at 3:00 PM I was told that they could deliver either on 3/17 or I could come pick up the shipment myself after 6:00 PM that day.
I reached the Yellow Truck shipment at 6:00 PM and they brought the 47" Vizeo LCD out in a broken box. The driver was nice and said that since the box is badly damaged let me open it for you to check the TV. And of course the LCD screen was damaged so I refused to take the shipment.
I called TigerDirect the same night (3/14/08) and talked to a rep who apologized for the mess up and promised a full refund by 3/19. Again there was no refund by that day so I called TigerDirect that night and talked to another rep who told me that they have not received the TV back yet and the refund will be made as soon as the TV is back.
Today on 3/25 I see the following e-mail from Paypal -
Original Transaction Amount: $1,128.99 USD
Refund Amount: $999.99 USD

The TV arrived on March 19th. It appeared that the tv had arrived in good shape. After hours of rearranging my house and buying new cabinetry we pulled out the tv, plugged it in and saw the northern lights on the screen. I then attempted too figure out why this was happening it turns out all the mirrors were smashed inside. I called tigerdirect and was given a RA # and told some one would contact me in the next 2 days to pick up the tv. The next day i thought i would get on top of it and see if i could expedite the situation. I was then told by tigerdirect that i could take 2 weeks to get the tv picked up and my money back. That of course wouldn't work! That is when i got a hold of Dani Rodriguez #2997(Customer service Manager). That Guy went to bat for me and we had the tv returned and my money back in 24 hours. After receiving the shipping confirmation email on the 22nd (which stated that the order shipped on the 21st) I went to UPS.com to check on the arrival date. When I noticed there wasn't one, I contacted UPS who claimed they billed TigerDirect for shipping but hadn't scanned the package. They indicated that usually means they haven't received it. I then called TigerDirect and they told me they didn't know where the package was. A gentleman by the name of Tyrone told me he could EITHER refund the shipping charges, OR reship the package. I opted to have the package reshipped. My mother then called, to find out when she could expect the replacement package to arrive. A man named Nelson told my mother that I had in fact opted to have the shipping charge refunded and that he would take care of that. He then argued with my mother, stating "Maybe you didn't understand that UPS doesn't ship on Saturdays". When my mother attempted to reply, Nelson promptly hung up on her. She called once more and spoke to Michael. He said "I'm sorry to hear that, we try not to hang up on our customers." He then told her that her ONLY option was to track the package for at least 10 business days, during which time they would keep her money (in excess of $700). Do yourself a favor and avoid this company like the plague!
UPDATE: My mother called Tigerdirect again and was promised a refund. The hold was removed from her account. Less than 24 hours later, the purchase posted and overdrew her account. 24 hours after THAT, the package that she paid 2nd day shipping charges for showed up on her doorstep 6 days late. They are now fighting with her about the refund. And I am not a "sir". |

The prices are good, the shipping is fast, usually taking 2 days to reach me via ground shipping, and the selection of products is great. The only time I've had any sort of delay in my order being processed was at the beginning of December, when I found out that two sticks of RAM that I ordered for the new PC I was building were out of stock for a few days, but I ended up receiving them only about two or three days after the rest of the parts, which wasn't too bad for having to be restocked. Overall, a great company, and I'll definitely be coming back for more when I need new parts! |

The box arrived on time, however, the side was torn open and the packing material was falling out of it. I opened the box to find that one of the hard drives and two peices of RAM were missing from the box. I contacted LIVE CHAT on TigerDirect's web site and spoke with John @ Ext: 5826, an online support agent. He took very careful note of my situation and worked with me very closely to make absolutely sure the issue would be resolved QUICKLY. He got Abraheim @ Ext: 5384 involved, who quickly contacted my by phone and got all of the details. Abraheim and John were both EXTREMELY friendly and professional, and worked everything out for me within a half hour. John stayed on live chat with me until the issue was resolved, as well. Just wanted to tell everyone that I had a wonderful experience in dealing with both Abraheim and John after such a terrible experience in receiving a box with missing goods. They both insured me that everything would be worked out to my satisfaction... and they were ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! KUDOS to the both of them! Great job TigerDirect!!! |

| Rating |  4 / 5 | | Comment | Well i made an order the 12 February for around 4,500 USD i brought 2 computers in parts 2xQx9650/ 2xAsus P5E3 Deluxe/2xGeforce 8800GT/4Gb Kingston DDR3 1333Mhz/one HD 750GB and one TMG1 CPU cooler.
so i made the order it was shipped via UPS i kept the track on UPS tracking System and the 2nd packet had a struggle with label/missing/legible and it was the most important packet having procesors, mobos, and GPUS. So it got returned to the shipper (Clearly not my fault) so there were 2 packets on transit i tought it was all coming but the system doesnt really let you see if something got not shipped or what.
when the packets came after 1 month(Im in venezuela) i noticed the most important pars were missing.
so i called and i noticed that they never shipped them back to me and they had not stock to send me again. but thats not all they want me to pay again the WHOLE 353,95 USD shipping thats unacceptable since i didn't return that it was returned cause someone wrote bad info in its label or someone in UPS lost it.
when i call the customer support doesn't offer much help and they just say i need to pay shipping again.
so i asked for a refund and of course they taking 353,95 USD from what i paid.

Your billing information db does not have the ability to track multiple 'bill to' information.
In this case a dead on arrival mobo needed to be RMA'd which caused a degree of confusion on your end. Took about an hour to work it out.
Abraham @ Ext 5384 did a Great job of understanding the problem and resolving the matter.
At that time Bonita in Billing became involved and used here superior skills to work through the balance of the matter.
However, when this was brought to the attention of her supervisor, 'Jose', he seemed uninterested in the great job his staff did.

Turns out that I could have gotten the exact some parts from NewEgg for over $100 dollars cheaper from then. I asked TigerDirect to match the price but the declined to do so. Arturo (ext 5850) was extremely helpful in helping me sort out the mix up, re-order the item that UPS had returned and still make sure it got there by the date needed.
Arturo helped to smooth over a potentially frustrating situation and I would definetly order from Tiger Direct again. |

Received order confirmation email at 6:53 PM. No further communications received. I Checked status at 1:20 PM on the 13th and found order on hold. Tiger DirectÂs customer support was called at 1:29 PM and was promptly put through to the verification department. The order was verified and I was told part would ship that day (the 13th). At 2:07 PM I received an email from Israel Fernandez stating that order was on hold (again?) pending additional information. Called repeatedly and each time I ended up in Mr. FernandezÂs voicemail. Checked order status online and found status now listed as back ordered. Replied to Mr. FernandezÂs email at 3:21 PM stating my situation and requested resolution. ItÂs now 9:30 PM and I have not received any additional communications from Mr. Fernandez or Tiger Direct.
IÂm the IT directory for a VAR and we often run into situations where we need something the next day to satisfy our customerÂs needs. Tiger Direct has not only failed to met my expectations; they were lax in initial follow up as well as following through to resolution. I find myself in a difficult situation now, and unfortunately due to poor customer support, will no longer consider Tiger Direct a reliable source for equipment. If I had been told promptly that the part I had ordered was out of stock, I could have purchased from another vendor, unfortunately they didnÂt have the courtesy to do so and I had to pursue on my own with no response on their part. |

| Rating |  1 / 5 | | Comment | The initial experience with TigerDirect was as I stated below, but ten days later I needed a video card and I left three phone messages and sent two emails to the same salesman and while he finally answered the second email, he never did call me back as he stated he would. I have to say I honestly will probably not do business with TigerDirect ever again because of this salesman's (Mark EXT 5819) indifference after the fact. Pretty sad follow-up skills.
My experience with Tiger Direct, and in particular the salesman I worked with (Mark EXT 5819) was... in a word: Flawless. Mark was extremely helpful and competent even in the face of my myriad questions and my enormous frustration with a bait & switch credit card fiasco I had with a different company when I tried to buy the same product. These guys have been at this internet marketing thing a lot longer than the other posers and I for one will continue to shop with them. |

| Rating |  5 / 5 | | Comment | I had an order from 2/19/08 that encountered a major problem involving Tiger Direct having "technical issue" with orders paid by eBill (they see the payment - after 2 weeks being posted - but cannot apply to customer's account), mine being one of them. The order was eventually cancelled as one of my items (a computer system) became unavailable after 3 weeks of repeat phone calls/emails in failed attempts to identify and resolve payment problem.
The story does have an extremely satisfactory ending, thanks to Rodrigo Daglio, Ext. 5873. He called me on March 10, 2008 regarding my ill-fated order. He was extremely courteous and professional and took very good care of me. He promised that he would not get off the phone until I was taken care of and kept the promise. He found a comparable replacement computer system, fulfilled and shipped the order overnight. He was truly a model customer service representative that kept a happy customer at Tiger Direct!
This is the absolute best experience we have ever encountered with any online/telephone purchase! Tiger Direct should be extremely pleased to know that Rodrigo turned a negative shopping experience into a positive one, and we will continue to shop at Tiger Direct for our computer and electronic needs.

I had to return them and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I didn't even wait on the phone. There were no problems exhanging the phones for a new pair. The first time I dealt with them I spoke to Eddie @ x. 5809 and the 2nd time with Estelle @ x. 5380.
I HIGHLY recommend using them.

I purchased a 20" Widescreen Monitor, a Brother Laser Printer, a Microsoft Natural Elite Keyboard, and a Printer Interface adapter cable, from Tiger Direct. I can only say, the entire experience, proved to be exceptional, even with the hic-up in billing. They handled issues expediently and expiditiously, all the while treating me with great care and concern, as though, I'd spent seveal thousands of dollars, and not just a few hundred. I feel valued, by this company, something you do not experience, in dealing with a company of such magnitude. Keep up the great work and efforts Tiger. |

| Rating |  1 / 5 | | Comment | Called their sales person,Terri to determine correct RAM for Sony Vaio laptop. Ordered part number suggested. Got it in record time. Wrong part. Talked to Carmello in C.S. who said that it isn't installed into slot in 3X5 access cover under laptop, but that I have to remove 10 screws and remove WHOLE bottom of laptop. I called Sony, who confirmed RAM sent was incorrect and access cover was proper place to mount RAM. Called back to Tiger, got Carmello again, who refused to connect me with supervisor, Gonzalo, but said he would transmit a message to Gonzalo. I called next day, left voice mail for Gonzalo, no reply. Called again and put on "ignore" until I gave up and called Kingston, maker of the RAM. They confirmed wrong part, and I purchased directly from them. Called back to Tiger, got RMA from George who sounded bored and acted as though he couldn't care less. He said that they (Tiger) would credit me for purchase and $5 for shipping, which is less than what it costs to ship it. Will let you know if I get credit as promised. These guys are the worst. You can tell a lot about the management of a company by how their people act. This is one of the worst I have had the displeasure of dealing with. |

I used ebillme and they deducted the money out of my account and Tiger Direct said they had not received it and there was nothing they could do. I sent tiger the emails from ebillme where the money had been deducted and still there was nothing they would do, even though they recommend ebillme and sent me to them at the time of the purchase.When I explained that I have spent approx. $35,000.00 with them the last 2 years they could care less. I would not recommend tiger direct to anyone. |

They put the same motherboard on sale with a
Priority Code about ten days later $30.00
cheaper and never honored it but told me that it was never at the price of 54 and some change. |
