SHAVER

FAQ

Electric shavers have a thin metal plate - a type of foil - with a lot of tiny holes. Inside the holes, there are one or more blades that move and cut the hairs they come in contact with. Some electric shavers have round foil held in place by feathers, which makes the shavers better at following the contours of the face. What both types of shavers have in common is that the cutting blades never have direct contact with the skin. The electric shaver is more gentle than a classic shaver; however, it takes longer to achieve the desired result.

Cleaning your shaver is not only good from a hygienic point of view; it is also a way to keep it at maximum efficiency and increase longevity. Different devices are cleaned in different ways, but most often, you will remove the cutting head and then empty it of hairs. The shaver often comes with a small brush, which facilitates this process. Waterproof shavers that can be rinsed off are also becoming more common, and sometimes a separate holder for cleaning is also included.

In most cases, you are able to change the battery in an electric shaver. This is, however, not necessarily a very simple process and you might need to reach out to a repair shop to get the work done. Most electric shavers do have good quality batteries that last for many years without the battery life being significantly affected.
