This game was first manufactured in Japan in 1975 and has seen many iterations since then. The gameplay is very straightforward and should not be difficult for your children to learn. This could be the perfect thing for your child to use when they have friends visiting.

This game is extremely uncomplicated in how it's played. You simply take turns putting the swords in the barrel, and whoever makes the pirate pop out of the barrel has won. Each time you play it's a different sword hole that makes the pirate pop, which should make the game feel fresh for a long time.
This game can be played by up to four players at a time, but it works just as well with just two players. Games take between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the players and there is no reading component to this game, so your child's language skills are of no relevance to whether they can play the game or not.
