Fender American Performer Jazz Bass Arctic White RW (Ex-Demo) #US18061636

Fender American Performer Jazz Bass Arctic White RW (Ex-Demo) #US18061636

Manufacturer's ID: 0198610380 What we say: Fender’s American Performer range brings an excellent selection of the most famous Fender designs, made in the USA, to players at great prices. Each Fender American Performer guitar has been specially designed to give gigging guitarists the tones and tools they need for excellent, high quality performances. Special design features, custom wound pickups and fresh new finishes make this range stand out as one for players of all stripes to get behind. Fender USA quality at a budget friendly price: sounds perfect to us! The Jazz bass continues to be a mainstay for fender’s bass line and is an important part of the American Performer Range. As with the other instruments, Fender have kept things close to how we’d expect them to be, a wise move when we are dealing with absolutely classic designs! The body is Alder and the neck is Maple. This example is finished in Arctic White and has a Rosewood fingerboard. Fender have opted for a satin-finished Modern C neck carve since it’s one that all musicians seem to be able to agree on! The spec in general is an accumulation of popular consensus measurements: a 9.5” fingerboard radius, 34” scale length, medium jumbo frets…this bass is designed and assigned to appeal to as many players as possible, cementing its brief as an instrument for working players of all styles and gig types. Two ‘Yosemite’ pickups are used here, fitting in with the rest of the American Performer series. These are specially wound single coil pickups that can be blended in the traditional manner by dialling the two separate volume knobs. A ‘greasebucket’ tone control lets you dial back the treble frequencies effectively without adding mud to your sound. All in all, this is a very versatile and professional sounding bass. There is absolutely nothing to single out and complain about with this Jazz Bass. It’s a pro-quality, American made Fender bass. Massively recommended. Fender American Original 60s Jazz Bass Olympic White (Ex-Demo) #v1851311

Fender American Original 60s Jazz Bass Olympic White (Ex-Demo) #v1851311

Manufacturer's ID: 0190130805 What we say: Fender’s new range for 2018 is the American Original Series. Replacing the previous American Vintage models, these guitars are all based on decade-specific eras, reflecting the best and most loved attributes from the 50s, 60s and 70s.These USA made models all share certain attributes like modern 9.5” radius fretboards and the same ‘vintage tall’ fretwire plus they all have the all-important nitrocellulose lacquer, a thinner skin finish that ages more beautifully and resonates better as the guitar is used and the wood vibrates. This new series is a total slam-dunk for Fender: some of their coolest, most iconic instruments with the features that everybody wants and asks for! Both of Fenders significant bass designs are the most imitated in the industry: The Precision Bass and the Jazz bass together form an almost complete picture of what an electric bass guitar is. Whilst the P-Bass is strident and singular, the Jazz bass is smooth and versatile. This design can cover so much ground, it’s often the only bass a player needs for a career’s worth of playing. This American Original 60s Jazz Bass (there were no Jazz basses in the 50s!) honours the time-established design of the originals with its offset body shape, twin single coil pickups and narrow neck. The neck is a big part of the charm with the Jazz bass: the slim profile and narrow width lets you have very easy access to any position and thusly promotes technical and complicated playing. The two single coil pickups are Pure Vintage ’64 models, developed to give a smooth sound with lots of clarity. Each pickup has an individual volume knob to allow you to balance the output of each pickup to your preference. The offset body is made from Alder and finished in Olympic White which looks beautiful. This bass is an instrument that can tackle any genre with tone, taste and authority. Condition Report Few light scuff marks around body. One around the underside of control plate a...

Fender American Elite Jazz Bass V ASH MN Tobacco Sunburst (Ex-Demo) #US16098590

Fender American Elite Jazz Bass V ASH MN Tobacco Sunburst (Ex-Demo) #US16098590

Manufacturer's ID: 197102752 What we say: Fender’s Elite Series are high spec US made instruments with a traditional look married to modern player-centric improvements to make these a cutting edge group of instruments. The Jazz bass comes with a brace of upgrades familiar to those who know the Elite Range: newly re-designed Noiseless pickups, a compound radius fretboard and a new style ABS case. Further to this, you also get a high mass bridge for sustain and a compound profile neck shape with a contour at the heel: all designed for greater playability. Significantly, there is also an active preamp on board to achieve a much greater signal to noise ratio: you will sound more punchy and full but with mush less background noise. These are features that players want and have been asking for. Now, Fender have delivered. This five string model gets a nice, fresh coat of Tobacco Sunburst and some ace 70s-style block inlays. It's a real looker as well as a great, modern player. Condition Report Plastic has been removed from pickguard so there are play marks on it and it also has some buckle rash on the back. With the exclusive all-new fourth-generation Noiseless pickups we’ve achieved the sonic equivalent of cold fusion—vintage-style response with completely noise-free performance. These muscular pickups are fueled by a redesigned robust 18-volt preamp cranks up the power for even more signal quality for chest-thumping tone with more headroom and reduced noise. Designed for fast playing and effortless position changes, the compound profile neck with a 9.5”-14” compound radius fingerboard is ideal for all playing styles. A modern “C”-shape at the new genuine bone nut, the profile morphs along the length of the neck to a modern “D”-shaped profile at the updated neck heel, providing plenty of comfortable support for fret hand antics. Posiflex™ graphite support rods run the length of the neck, adding stability to the neck while resisting temperature- and humidity-induced wa...

Fender Flea Jazz Bass Rosewood Fingerboard Roadworn Shell Pink

Fender Flea Jazz Bass Rosewood Fingerboard Roadworn Shell Pink

Fender Flea Jazz Bass Rosewood Fingerboard Roadworn Shell Pink Flea’s funk- and jazz-influenced basslines helped propel the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the top of the rock and alternative charts while redefining the role of bass in the modern era. Flea’s unique playing style brought a welcome breath of fresh air to the musical landscape of the past four decades, inspiring countless bassists to add a funky touch to their sound while exploring new techniques and harmonic possibilities. To celebrate his enduring influence, we’ve recreated his prized Shell Pink ’61 Jazz Bass that he received from a fan and used to record the Peppers’ Stadium Arcadium and The Getaway, as well as with the supergroup, Atoms For Peace. A pair of vintage-style, American-made Pure Vintage ’64 Jazz Bass single-coil pickups provides classic, original-era Fender tone with clear articulation, clear low end definition, up-front midrange punch and singing high end. The vintage-accurate stacked concentric controls shape the pickups’ volume and tone, as well as allowing the pickups to be blended in any ratio. The Flea Jazz Bass plays fast and easy, thanks to its period-accurate 21-fret “U”-shaped maple neck with a smooth RoadWorn urethane finish on the back, plus a 7.25”-radiusrosewood fingerboard with a 1.5” wide nut. The vintage-style bridge sports four threaded steel “barrel” saddles, adding a touch of crispness to enhance the attack fortone that can power through a busy mix. Shell Pink is the rarest of Fender’s classic Custom Color finishes, and Flea’s ’61 Jazz Bass is quite possibly the only one in existence. We’ve carefully recreated his personal instrument’s exact faded shade as it exists today, and then applied an eye-catching Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer finish that perfectly replicates Flea’s playing wear. A special neck plate engraved with Flea’s own artwork commemorates the inspiration behind this instrument. Other aesthetic touches include nickel/chrome hardware, 3-ply tortoiseshell p...
