It depends on how it is intended to be used and what requirements you have for your kitchen. There are many different models in various sizes and with multiple features. If you have a lower budget, a classic alcohol burner is a good option, and if you want to be able to control the heat a lot, a gas burner is the best choice. If you want to be able to cook food at low temperatures, you should opt-out of the multi-burner, as there is a risk that it is too effective for it. However, if you are on a long expedition and want to be sure to find fuel, the multi-burner is good to have.
Portable stoves are made for outdoor use and are not optimal to use indoors. If you still want to use it indoors, it is important that you place it on a fireproof surface, make sure to have good ventilation, and you always keep it under supervision.
