Which robot pool cleaner you choose depends first and foremost on the size of your pool. Different models have different speeds and can clean different amounts of water per hour.

If you have a large pool, you want a robot pool cleaner with a larger cleaning capacity to reduce cleaning time. Many models also have several different programmes for you to choose between, e.g. a one-hour, two-hour or three-hour clean.

In addition to the size of your pool, its shape is also relevant when choosing a robot pool cleaner. If you have a rectangular pool with fully vertical walls, there are robot pool cleaners that can clean both walls and floors.

However, if you have angles on the walls, these wall-cleaning robot pool cleaners might mistake these for the edge of the pool and turn at the angle instead of at the water surface. It’s important not to throw your money away on a robot that can’t handle the shape of your pool. The same applies if you have a pool with nooks and crannies that the robot pool cleaner may struggle to clean. A floor-cleaning robot pool cleaner can usually handle the entire floor area as long as there’s not too little space to turn around.
