Matilda Hansson

A flying security camera, a double screen foldable laptop or a colour changing car might all sound like insane creation but they are in fact products that will soon be available for purchase. At the world's biggest tech event CES many fun and innovative products were presented and we have gathered all of the craziest creations that will be available soon!

The world's biggest tech event is back!

After two years of online events the worlds biggest tech event is back with in-person events and it's back with a bang! This year's event offered an impressive line up, with many tech companies eager to showcase their latest and greatest ambitions and inventions. We have gathered the most fun, insane and impressive creations that will be available in the coming years.

The world's first (almost) wireless TV - The LG OLED M

The new impressive and groundbreaking TV from LG is a massive 97 inch with 4K OLED TV and120 Hz, it gets all its video and audio wirelessly from a small black box called the zero connect box, the box is where you will plug in all your wires and gaming consoles it all then gets beamed over to the big screen TV. You will still need a power cable, but the absence of excessive wires will make mounting the TV more flexible. The price is as of yet unknown but will most likely be very pricey! LG TVs are some of the best and there are some great OLED TVs available already now.

Lenovo’s incredible dual-screen laptop

The by far coolest laptop we saw during CES was the Lenovo Dual Screen Yoga Book 9i. It essentially is a double folding screen laptop with two 13.3-inch, 16:10, 2.8K OLED screens stacked on top of each other with a hinge in the middle and a detachable keyboard. A detachable keyboard without a touch pad may be off putting to many but you can use both the touch screen as well as a stylus, if you really want a touch pad, you can actually put one of the screens under the keyboard and the difference in length between the screen and keyboard will create a touch bar from the screen itself.

On top of that the layout is highly adaptable you can have split screen, waterfall style separate screens, you can move items between the screens, it's simply put a lot of fun and an interesting step in the dual screen space and certainly something never before seen for laptops. Although we haven't been given a release date the laptop is slated to cost at least $2,000, in the mean time why not take a look at some other Lenovo laptop top sellers.

Amazon’s flying indoor security camera

Amazon has made a big leap in home security, with the first flying indoor security camera that you can control remotely in order to be more flexible in your home surveillance as well as not leave any areas missed. The so called Ring Always Home Cam is essentially a drone with a security camera function that you control remotely it has multiple perspectives as well as programable flying patterns, so you can have your camera flying on patrol if you wish.

The camera can be activated when your ring alarm sets off and it can fly to inspect what is going on, or perhaps you're not sure if you remembered to turn off the stove, then you can remotely check. The flying security camera will be available in about a years time and retail from $250, in the meantime take a look at all compatible ring products as well as some great home security products.

The pee analyser

The Withings U-Scan might seem like a bit of an oddity, but it can in fact be incredibly useful for many people, especially if you have metabolic issues. This little gadget, that essentially looks like a fancy toilet freshner, is designed to analyse your urine and then convey your health status on a connected device that can show everything from your vitamin intake, water needs, acid-base levels, ketones and more and then give you suggested actions based on the results.

The price will start at €499.95 and includes one U-Scan reader and a cartridge providing three months of testing. The first two cartridges that are becoming available are Cycle Sync, which will help people who have monthly cycles track them, and a Nutri Balance cartridge, which will give a detailed metabolic guide for nutrition and hydration. The analyser can even tell the difference between difference users, thus being able to catalogue and monitor several different profiles. The Withings U-Scan is slated for release within the year, but you can already now take a look at some of Withings health tech products that use smart tech to help improve your life.

BMW colour changing car

BMW did showcase a colour changing car at last years event, the BMW iX Flow, impressive as it was it could only shift between black, white and grey. This year however they have come back with an impressive upgrade, the i Vision Dee can shift between 32 different colour options thanks to its e ink surface technology and each segment can be individually controlled to present a different colour.

There are plenty of more futuristic features on this car like animated headlights to show emotion as well as touch screen windows, even a personal animated avatar to accompany you on your journey. You probably won't see any of these features in a car anytime soon, but it gives an interesting glimpse into what we might expect cars in the future to look like.
