Three tips for buying a hand warmer

Handle warmers can be divided into two different groups – full hand warmers and separate handle warmers.

  • Separate handle warmers: Works with separated handles and ergonomic handles. Allow you to keep your hands as wide or narrow as you like. Some models may be smaller in size and therefore not fit larger hands particularly well.
  • Full hand warmers: Plenty of space for your hands, and can be used with extra gloves for those who get really cold. Do not work with separated or ergonomic handles.

Hand warmers are used in cold weather, which can also involve snowfall and heavy rain. Choose a model that is waterproof, or at least water-resistant, so that your hands don't get wet and cold.

Hand warmers may seem like a simple pram accessory, but there are a few things you should check before buying one:

  • Hand size: Some handle warmers are small and have a narrow opening. If you have large hands, it may be a good idea to test the hand warmer before you buy it, so you know that you can get your hand inside without it feeling tight and uncomfortable.
  • Shape of the pram's handle: Unusually wide handles, or extra narrow handles, may not allow some hand warmers to be attached. Moreover, the opening may be too large, causing cold air to leak in.
  • Adaptable for different prams: If you have more than one pram, you'd want to be able to use the hand warmer with all of them, so it is important to choose a model that can adapt to different types of handles.
