Acupressure Mat
Acupressure Mat
There are several ways to use one of these mats. Many people like to lie down with it under their back or buttocks, after a workout or to relax before bedtime. You can also roll the mat and place it like a pillow under your neck to relieve any tension there.
If you’re only a beginner, quarter of an hour a day should be enough. As you get used to it, you can increase that time to 20-40 minutes. But it doesn’t matter if you lie on it for longer – try it out and see what feels best for you.
Lying on one of these mats creates pressure that increases blood circulation around the muscles in your back. Many people who use acupressure mats experience positive effects such as feeling relaxed and sleeping better. Among other things, the mats are said to relieve various forms of pain, such as sciatica, neck strain, back pain, headaches and muscle soreness, but also stress.
At first it may feel a little uncomfortable, but they aren’t dangerous. If you do find it too uncomfortable, you can wear a sweatshirt or similar when you’re lying on the mat. Don’t use an acupressure mat on your face or on sensitive skin. If you’re pregnant, we recommend that you consult your midwife first.
Yes, both adults and children can use these mats.
You shouldn’t machine wash these mats, as it may damage the studs. However, it is possible to wash them by hand. Remove the padding then wash the carpet in lukewarm water with detergent. Then hang it up to let it dry.
