Every material has its advantages, so think about what you’re looking for. For example, can you be bothered to bring in the sunbed every time it rains?
The most important feature of the sunbed is for it to be nice and comfortable. But being easy to move is also a big plus. A collapsible sunbed is easy to store when you’re not using it, especially if it needs to fit in your storage room during the winter months. A sunbed with wheels also makes it easier when moving it around in the garden, meaning that weight is less of an issue whilst you’re busy chasing sunbeams.
It’s nice to lie and sunbathe, but sometimes it gets too hot. In which case it’s nice to have a sunbed with a canopy that can be pulled down, so you can have some shade when you feel like it. And you won’t have to go inside immediately if it starts to rain either.
It’s also a good idea to be able to adjust the backrest so that you’re comfortable if you want to take a nap or read a book. This is particularly important if you're prone to backache. Some sunbeds have a remote control that you can control the backrest with, while others can be adjusted manually.
It is, of course, important that you don’t expose yourself to too much UV rays. If you want further guidance on UV protection, please refer to this guide from NHS.
