Budget dupes on expensive beauty products

By Klarna

Too Expensive with Dyson and La Mer? Get these budget options instead! Hero Image

Stay on trend while saving money

Don't want to spend a fortune on trendy beauty and makeup products or maybe you just want to get more for less. Then dupes are a great way to get both! Many times products will rise in price when a so called "luxury brand name" is attached to the product, but many times the product itself won't be much different from main stream products, this is especially true when it comes to skincare and makeup. So these are some great areas to opt for dupes instead of expensive brand names.

Baccarat Rouge VS Ariana Grande Cloud

NARS Liquid Blush VS Maybelline Cheek Heat Gel

OLAPLEX VS ReVox Plex

OLAPLEX has been a long-time favourite with bestsellers such as No. 3 Hair Perfector and No. 7 Bonding Oil. Although Olaplex is great it is pricey, if it's not quite within you budget then there are more affordable options such as: ReVox Plex, which, just as OLAPLEX have a whole line of products to give you shiny and frizz-free hair. User reviews speak highly of the products, and say that they are up to par with the more expensive brands both when it comes to the products consistency as well as result. Another favourite is Revolution Beauty, their Plex-series has a bit more of a watery consistency, but the result is similar to that of the more expensive brands and will give you soft and silky hair.

Dyson Airwrap VS Revlon One-Step Volumizer

  • Dyson Airwrap

  • Revlon One-Step Volumizer

Surely no one can have missed the hype around the Dyson Airwrap, with its revolutionising air wrap technique it minimises damage done to the hair which you get from regular stylers, however this innovative technology naturally comes with a hefty price tag of about £500. Understandably this is out of budget for many, and although there is no perfect dupe for the Airwrap due to the patented technology used, the Revlon hair styler does provide a very similar result and gives you that salon blow-out look for about a tenth of the price.

Just make sure to use a heat protectant and not set it to maximum heat, otherwise you might risk damaging your hair.

Tarte Contour Concealer VS E.L.F. Camo Concealer

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic VS Vichy Liftactiv Vitamin C

Benefit The Porefessional Primer VS Catrice Poreless Makeup Primer

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pencil VS NYX Micro Brow Pencil

La Mer Crème De La Mer VS Nivea Creme

  • La Mer Crème De La Mer

  • Nivea Creme

The infamously expensive La Mer products have gone viral many times over and over again, and many may feel tempted to try the product but don't feel like dolling out a few hundred pounds for a face cream, then you're in luck because this is one of those times when the price of a product is significantly raised due to the brand name. In this case the £230 La Mer Crème De La Mer has a pretty close dupe in the Nivea Creme which you can easily find for under £2! A significant price gap for very similar products and results.

Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter VS Maybelline Instant Perfector

Urban Decay Setting Spray VS NYX Setting Spray

Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer VS Xiaomi Mi Ionic Hairdryer

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb VS Revlon Super Lustrous

Rihanna has not just given us an endless number of top hits - she has also created the popular makeup brand; Fenty Beauty. Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb is one of the most popular products. But if you want a bit more budget friendly option that gives the shame shine and lustrous result then the Revlon Super Lustrous The Gloss is a great dupe.
