A freestanding vanity unit can be placed anywhere and moved around if you wish. As it is not mounted on the wall, there is no limit to how heavy the things you store in it can be, which is an advantage. However, it takes up a lot of space and it can be difficult to clean underneath.
A wall-mounted vanity unit is mounted on the wall and needs to be connected to the floor drain. As it is not on the floor, it is easy to get underneath with a vacuum cleaner and mop. Check whether suspension fittings are included.
A wash basin base cabinet does not come with a built-in sink, like the other models. It is simply a cupboard that is placed under your existing wash basin. This model is good if you don't want to have to replace what you already have. Double check that the water lock is included.

Movable drawers and compartments allow you to easily adapt the space, for example if you're partner moves in with you and you suddenly have to share the storage space.
