Few things are as miserable as being cold, and the fashion giants seem to have realised this because winter coats are now as good-looking as they’ve always been warm. In addition to that, the range is huge and there are warm coats in all lengths and with a wide variety of fillings.
If you’re thinking of buying a new warm coat for the winter, you’ll find several good tips on brands and models here – regardless of whether you intend to hang out in town or take a break in the mountains.
Think about where you live. If you live in the south, the chances are you won’t need to wear a coat as someone living in the north of the country. Adjust the model of the coat according to the sort of winter you’re most likely to have.
Think about when you’ll use the coat. If you mainly spend time in the city or on heated public transport, you probably don’t need the same sort of coat as somebody who spends their winter up in the mountains. And vice versa – if you plan to be outdoors a lot, you obviously need something more chunky.
Think about your shopping habits. Some models cost more but also last for infinitely more seasons. Maybe it's time to invest in a slightly more expensive but more durable garment that lasts a really long time?
