Samsung is gearing up to unveil its next flagship smartphone: the Galaxy S26. As the successor to the S25 series, the new model is already generating massive interest across the UK. In this blog, we cover everything we know so far – including launch timing, expected specs and pricing, and what might be new.
This post will be updated continuously as new official information becomes available.
According to multiple sources, Samsung is expected to reveal the S26 lineup during its Unpacked event on 25 February 2026. The phones are likely to be available in stores starting 11 March 2026.
As with previous years, we expect to see three variants:
Galaxy S26 (standard)
Galaxy S26 Plus
Galaxy S26 Ultra
The Ultra model will likely be the most premium version with enhanced camera, display, and performance features.
Official pricing hasn't been announced yet, but early leaks suggest:
Galaxy S26: around £799
Galaxy S26 Plus: around £999
Galaxy S26 Ultra: around £1299
These estimates may vary depending on storage options and market.
Compared to the Galaxy S25, the following improvements are expected:
Display:
A 6.3" AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate – slightly larger than the 6.1" screen on the S25.
Chipset:
Depending on the market, Samsung may use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or its own Exynos 2600. The S25 used Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Camera:
A 50 MP main sensor is likely to remain, with upgrades expected on ultrawide and telephoto lenses, especially for the Ultra version.
Battery & Charging:
A 4,300 mAh battery is rumoured, with support for Qi2 wireless charging – an upgrade from the 4,000 mAh on the S25.
The Galaxy S26 is expected to focus on:
Improved AI features for photo and performance optimisation
Enhanced zoom capabilities (Ultra model)
Qi2 wireless charging + magnetic accessories
Lighter and more refined design
If you’re currently using a Galaxy S25 or another recent flagship, it might be worth waiting to see what the S26 delivers. But if you have an older device like the S21 or S22, the S25 now offers great value.
