3 tips for buying a fire blanket

Your blanket should be at least 120cm/47in x 180cm/70in, so that it covers an adult human.

Fire blankets often come with a handy wall-mounted container with hanging straps for easy access. Opting for this type of fire blanket is a smart choice–you always know where it's located.

Your new fire blanket should be certified to the European standard SS-EN 1869. This means it's tested and approved for heat resistance and designed to prevent combustion gases from penetrating through.
